I record Howard Stern every day and put the show on my Ipod. Cloris Leachman was a guest on the show March 31 and I am so far behind I just listened to it today!

Those of you who are familiar with Howard Stern know that when interviewing someone he asks a lot of personal questions, and his interview with Cloris was no exception! I'm not going to repeat the raunchy questions, but let me say that Cloris handled herself well. She answered them honestly, rolled with the punches, laughed at some of them and sounded like she was having a good time with Howard. It was a very enjoyable interview.

My favorite story she told (and this may be in her book; I didn't read it) was she went to dinner at an elegant restaurant in Hollywood and heard someone making a fuss that she was in attendance; "Look it's Cloris Leachman!!!" She turned around and saw the person who was sounding starstruck at seeing her was none other than Jack Benny!

did howard ask about the ed asner thing, when he and cloris agreed that if he dropped 30 pounds they'd have a sexual encounter?
i browsed cloris's book in barnes and noble for TMTMS info, and she said that at a few appearances over the years ed has been kind of angry at her, saying she "can't be trusted" for coming out with that tidbit
cloris does go on to say that she loves ed and didn't mean to hurt/offend him, and even then jokes that if they both lose some weight (she says she wants to drop a few) maybe their "assignation" will be on again!

btw, cloris was always attractive, but there were some early pictures of her in the book in which she is QUITE fetching...cloris, valerie, betty, and georgia were all cute, though, but nobody touches mtm...but i digress
