Sadly, I think One Day is one of the shows Sony has given up on. Just like All In The Family and The Facts of Life. The second sesson of One Day At A Time is probably my favorite too. I'm glad that I have a lot of the episodes on tape.

I just posted on the Maude forum, I wonder if after The Big Box Norman Lear Set is released, Sony wil release the 2nd seasons of Maude and One Day; and complete All in the Family and The Jeffersons. The Norman Lear Set includes the first seasons of All in the Family, Maude, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, One Day at a Time and Mary Hartman, with extras and commentaries.

I too, think this was the BEST Season. I loved Ginny. When I think of ODAAT, the 1976-77 season is the one I remember most. Would love to have it on DVD. The only problem is, maybe the licensing for music eg. "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" and the other songs they performed at the old folks home is too expensive. Too bad, because I REALLY want this uncut on DVD.

at least those of us that had Comcast On-Demand were able to record Season 2, Season 3 and the first 9 episodes of Season 4 before they yanked it off. :)

Do you know when they will put ODAAT back into the on demand rotation?

Who knows if they will at all. When I first got the On-Demand, they had Maude, but it's never re-appeared. And last time ODAAT came back, they did not show as many seasons as the first time.

Yeah they've had the same shows on there for awhile. Let's pray they switch up the shows soon.

With the passing of Bea Arthur, there seems to be a lot more interest in Maude lately. Hopefully it will inspire Sony to take that show and others like ODAAT, Family, Benson, etc. out of mothballs and onto DVD for the fans!!

Speaking as a TV fan for other Sony shows that are in DD release Freeze Mode like the Jeffersons and All in the Family, You can expect the same Freeze Release Treatment for One Day at a Time. That's how Sony operates

I just called Sony and asked them about their plans for ODDAT Season 2, and there aren't any as of yet. So, I requested it be released and I mentioned to them as well, that ODDAT on DVD could generate a lot sales, based on Valleri Bertinelli's sucess with Jenny Craig and that many people would want the show that made her a star. Sony has released several shows in the past with actors who were successful at the time with the entertainment industry. I encourage anyone who wants the show to be released to do the same thing. The Number to call is 1-800-860-2878. At the same time, those of you want Maude might mention to Sony, about Beatrice Arthur's recent death to encourage them.
