Yesterday, I started rewatching my DVD set of the fourth season of AITF, and everytime I see these episodes again, I really begin to think that season four was the best. I think the season was filled with great episode after great episode. What is everyone else's favorite season?

I'll have to say season 5. From the opening four-parter about Archie's strike, to the "fair fighting" episode, to the shows about Archie's life-expectancy and betting with Mike to give up smoking, and even the season-ender about Mike and Gloria renting the Jefferson's old house, I really enjoyed most of the season five episodes.

OK, there were a couple of duds - like the "Archie's Missing" episodes as discussed in another thread - but overall I think season five was the best.

Too hard to pick just one, 2 through 5 were my favorites though.

I always liked the final few episodes of the first season, when the actors finally "got" into the roles. However, my choice for best seasons would have to be 2-4. To me, the later AITF episodes after Mike and Gloria moved out sometimes felt mechanical to me. (Sorry, can't think of another word to use.) Sometimes the camera angles seemed off, and while I have neither heard if this is right or wrong, but it seemed the show was taped without an audience and laughter was added later. To me that kind of makes the later seasons not a great as the first few groundbreaking years.
