The very same thing happened to Shaun Alexander in Seattle a couple of years ago after he led them to a Superbowl appearance. He was also in his early thirties.

he really didn't & he's not as good as he was in Indy. The receivers, offense, defense & Special teams did more to get them further then he did. Not that they deserved to be in the SB anyway, cause they didn't.

I was saying that after they beat Atlanta because Matt Ryan threw so many INT's but after Carolina nd the Eagles, they derserved to be there. Especially after losing the 24-6 lead to the Eagles and not losing the game.

I agree with you about deserving to be their, after playing good in the postseason, cause they did play a hell of a game against us and did well vs. Atlanta, killed Carolina and played well vs. Pitt and had a chance, but that's not why. I meant they shouldn't of even been in the playoffs in the first place because their record was 8-8 in the weakest division in football- both conferences included. No excuse to be in the playoffs with that kind of subpar record, in a HORRIBLE division at that lol. That's like having an advantage compared to your counterparts, yet barely beating them in a race or whatever it may be. 8-8 LOL

that's true, it lit a fire under their asses. but it doesn't change the fact that they got lucky to get in & didn't deserve to be. Then again the Eagles got a little bit lucky, with Houston & Oakland helping us get in on the last day of all teams, BUT we had a better record and a winning record, compared to the Cards, in a harder division & we beat them in the regular season- so we deserved to get in.
