The year is half over pretty soon, no mention of what month this season will be released. They said it would come out in 2009. What month?

They have to include "Baby of the Family" as the special season 4 preview episode.

I am very happy to see that there is at least one person other than me posting on this page! For quite some time I have been doing what I could to stimulate some conversation about this fine show and not having any success! As far as season 3 is concerned, I am very anxious to see that DVD as well! If you look down the page a ways, you will see a thread started by me called "Have the Fans Given Up?". This was an attempt to vent my frustration about how long it is taking for this sereis to be released! Like most of my threads, it has no responses. Another show that is taking a very long time to come out is "Mad About You". Is anyone here a fan of that sereis? I thought it was great! I posted a similar message on that page called "Have You Guys Given Up?". This also has no responses. One last sereis that I would like to mention is "Caroline in the City". The second season DVD set came out a couple of monhts ago. I was sure to snatch that one right up! However, my all-time favorite episode of that series came out in the fourth and last season. I will probably be grey-haired and toothless by the time that I get to see that one again!

Would you be happy to know I used to work at The Price Is Right? :) I'm on the DVD. I worked Bob's final show. That came to DVD so fast. We're all still waiting for season 3 of this show though!

Interesting connection to TPIR and GAB...I made a crappy fanfic episode back in like 1999 or 2000 that has almost everyone get called down. I wish they did a TPIR episode with the cast, but that was CBS, not NBC.

If you are interested in fanfic, then you might want to go to the "Facts of Life" page of this site. By the way, that is one more sereis that seems to be taking forever to come out on DVD! Once you get to that page, you will have to go down a few threads from the top and find one called "Unpopular". In my most recent response to that thread, I offered a suggestion for an alternate ending to an episode from the second season. Also, the babe that made a guest appearance on that episode also made three guest appearances on "Gimme a Break!" I hope you have fun with it!

I'd love to see some GAB fanfic.
I though that there wasn't any.
Any good sites for this?

On GAB online there is a section for GAB fanfic. Just dumb scripts I made up that weren't in any professional format whatsoever. Now I know how to format a screenplay with Scene Headings, Action, Dialogue and characters. Most of what I wrote back in the days was just story. I never got too into it. I just wrote whatever.

I'd write like this back in the days:

Nell- Hi Joey

Joey- Hi Nell

Nell- How wahs school?

Joey- Ok...I'm going to the park

Nell- Ok

Nowadays it's all in screenwriting format if I wrote on screenwriting software back then. It would have scene headings, day/night time in the heading, it would all be spell checked (Nobody really spell checks online. My Professors used to write whatever when they'd e-mail me and they used to have lots of spelling errors and LOLs and internet talk. Back in the days I was a bit too much into internet talk if you look at older posts I have. I've calmed down very much since, but I have a tendancy to not really care about spelling errors unless I were writing a screenplay or something I was submitting. I type fast, so I say what I gotta say and it's either errorless or it has errors in it.

But yeah, my GAB fanfic was pure crap back in the day. Nice idea to continue the series, but it shows I had no idea how to write a 30 minute sitcom. All my screenplays could have been filmed in 10 minutes or so. That's how short they were.

I am also awaiting subsequent seasons, but I've stopped holding my breath unfortunately. I was thrilled to see the S2 release in Canada when Universal abondoned the U.S. releases, but it's been a while. I hope they come through. You can watch some episodes from S3-6 on Netflix streaming, but they only have a handful of them for some reason.

I've been waiting what seems like an eternity for Season 3. I've checked periodically and still no news. I think the world of dvd is very unrealistic in terms of production costs/sales expectations. It's a wonder anything ever gets released. I'd like to think VEI will release Season 3 but they have also stalled the final season of "Kate & Allie" which would complete the series on dvd. So something is definitely not right.

This is a damn shame. Shout! needs to pick this show up. There are several threads on their site asking them to take this show. Maybe if someone is in Canada they could call VEI & ask them what the hell is going on. I need GAB S3 now!

I am very happy that there are people other than me making noises about this issue! Being able to own season three really would hit the spot! In my last response to this thread, I mentioned two other shows that I am waiting for more DVDs of being "Mad About You" and "Caroline in the City". Well, those pages of this site are still pretty stagnent! It is a shame! Well, another show that I already own the first three season of and would love to have more is the "Facts of Life". Now on that page, the fans are making a lot of noise! Good for them!
