We finally have all the seasons released on DVD. This should be a time where the boards are alive again (like the olden days), but that's not the case.

It's no fun talking about "Wings" to myself. Okay, that's not entirely true, it is a little fun. But I still want to have conversations with people about the show, here.

Pilotguy, if you're reading this... that means YOU! And everyone else of course. :)

I'm still around  I've been hanging out at the American Idol section a lot because it's currently on, and I'm always somewhere in the Chit Chat section. I agree, I wish more people more post here. What happened to the good ol' days of 2003-05?

I've been around, too, and I'm also usually hanging around the Chit Chat board. I'm out of town alot though.

My brother just called me the other day and told me he found the Final Season at the Best Buy where he lives. I've been trying to find it myself with no luck. I was getting ready to order it online, but he got it for me.

Hey, Adam, I was just in Springfield a couple weeks ago and thought of you!!(even though I don't know what you look like!!;) ). I was on the lookout for the store that you work at.

That would have been neat if we met. Of course I work third shift now, so chances are you wouldn't have come in that late. Of course if you are ever there, I'll be the guy with the "Adam" name tag. ;)

Hi I am newby here and want to greetings to all of you wings fan can't believe it that wings almost 20 years,

Welcome to SO.

I was just thinking about that a couple of week ago. It's hard to believe in a little less than 3 months, it will be 20 years since Wings premiered. One of the many great things about this show is even though it's 20 years old, it isn't dated, like a lot of other sitcoms from that era (IMO).

It surprised me when this show finally came out on DVD and the Wings board wasn't very active. I know I don't post here hardly ever anymore, but when I started watching this show on N@N in late 2003, you couldn't stop me from posting on this board. It was so much easier to come up with topics. I can't really explain it, but I knew if I started a thread, I'd get at least a few responses. By the time Wings came out on DVD, the board was pretty much dead and though there were times I thought about starting a thread and I did start some, I kinda backed off figuring no one would care or respond.

I think the main problem is that Wings isn't on television anymore at a reasonable hour. If USA or TV Land were to air this show at night, I'd bet we'd be seeing a lot more posts and new fans, but I won't hold my breath. In fact, I don't even know if USA airs Wings anymore. It used to come on after Becker at 6:30 am.

thank you for the welcome greets, I just love Wings since last Oct, actually I know wings froms 18 years ago when I still lived in my own country and later in 2001 wings air in Holland I used to watched Wings every morning when I feed my baby, Since last Oct I watched Private Practise ( and even I don't like it) just because Tim Daly's (akward acting) on and I found wings on Youtube (thanks to the person who make this the best) and love it, I love the character Helen and Brian, Joe hmm not so much. I wonder how Crystal Bernard doing recently and how she looked like.

To me, season three is when the show really became a classic and in my opinion is a really solid sitcom through the seventh season.

My personal favorite episode is from season three "This Old House."

I wholeheartedly agree! Although I'd have to add in season 2. From season 2 onwards, the show was excellent! , although in season 8, quality has dropped a bit, but was still a good show. ,

Season two was a huge step up from season one, which to me wasn't very good. So to me, season two was the show getting better but season three is when it really gelled.

Season eight was okay, my main complaint is that the show seemed more cynical, like we were supposed to laugh at the character's misfortunes. But over the course of the show's run, these are characters I got to care about, and couldn't laugh at all the bad things happening to them.

OH Nuts!

Deal me in as a fan! Just saw all the Xmas eps on Antenna and flipped. I'm running up to my main library today to see if they have it. I am smitten with the show!

I guess as I watch more I'll get a feeling for which seasons and themes I prefer. But honestly, from what I've seen so far, I can't imagine any ep being a lemon. I can hardly wait to see more of this show. I want my WINGS (smile).

That's awesome! I've been a fan since summer of 2000. It was the summer after I graduated high school and before I got a job. So I was kind of a hermit for a few months there. I watched "Wings" on USA in the mornings and fell in love.

I took a break at work and we have a TV in the break room. I turned Antenna on and was surprised to see "Wings." It was the season four episode about Joe and the old lady at the video tape rental store. Always nice to see one of my favorite shows on actual TV, since most of them I can only watch on DVD.

That was one of the Xmas eps Antenna showed and it was great. Joe deserves an award for not decking that obnoxious twerpy clerk, because the clerk really deserved it. And IMO, that as**h*l* clerk is the one who deserves the blame for "Debbie" having the heart attack.

True. He probably didn't even care when he (or if he) hear about her heart attack.

I thought it was a sweet moment when Joe (I'm sorry, Jed) leans in and says "I'm Sorry" to her. It was sincere and did the trick. And then the bell rings and the little boy says "Maybe Jed just got his wings!" Ha-ha.

It was a sweet moment, as was that whole hospital room scene. Well, at least Joe got away with his life LOL. If Debbie's family knew he was the "customer", Joe would've needed a "Clarence" himself-- and fast!
