In the final episode, Brian tells Joe he'll run Sandpiper for one year, so when Joe and Helen return it will still be there for them (as opposed to Roy owning it). Anyways, are we to assume that when Joe returns, Brian will then move away, like he had planned to do before deciding to stay for a year?

Also, do you think if Brian hadn't agreed to run Sandpiper for a year (assuring it would be there for Joe's return), that Joe and Helen might have just stayed in Vienna longer, since there's no real reason to return? In this scenerio, Brian and Casey wouldn't be in Nantucket. So it's not like they have family there to be with (unless you count Fay, Antonio and Roy family, lol).

Also (again), what do you think happens to Helen when she returns? Afterall, Casey now runs the lunchcounter. Would they be the sister partners of the lunchcounter like the Hacketts were the brother partners of Sandpiper, lol?

I like to think Joe and Helen returned for good after the year was up. Brian and Casey decided to stay and help Joe and Helen run Sandpiper and the lunch counter, especially after Helen announced that she and Joe were pregnant with triplets. Fay met and married a Spanish man named Jorge. Roy is still his old self, just a year older. Lowell returned to the island. Antonio and Casey are a serious couple.
