View Full Version : Dave Bush for the Brewers today almosts...
Wreckless 04-23-2009, 04:24 PM throws a no-hitter today vs. the Phillies, at CBP in South Philly. Bush threw 7.2 innings of no-hit baseball & a shutout, but ultimately gave up his first hit after retiring the 2nd out of the inning, to Matt Stairs- who slammed the ball for a homerun off the foul pole in right firled. The Brewers ended up winning anyway 6-1 and Cole Hamels left as well, but should be alright.
Bush's line- 7.2 innings, 2 hits, 3 BBs, 2 hit batters, 4 k's
This kid is from Philly and threw a gem to him...it's early on so I'm not worried about the loss, but congrats to Bush. The Phils are hard to no-hit.

Not that it mattered because he wouldn't have gotten the no-hitter anyway but it could have atleast been a regular hit instead of a homerun-lol

Stairs made that ball CLIMB, like stairs
he's an animal...swing for the fences or strike out
Ramona remembers his HR vs. the Dodgers in the NLDS last year lol...
don't care about the loss, just the no-hitter lost and the Stairs homer LOL

Linda Cohn on ESPN kept following his no hitter and then when she did the lkast update she said
"OH I just jinxed him, Matt Stairs just hit a homer"

you know how hockey is, the PUC determines who goes to the next round-lol Now the Penguins probably willcome to philly and win-lol Hockey is such a pointless sport, see why ESPN no longer airs it.
That's like a NBA team being up 3-1 and come home in game 5 and lose by 30-lol

i disagree with you, and it's called a PUCK...it's the fastest of the 4 sports, theirs fighting, action nonstop, big hits...its an awesome contact sport...basketball, the thug image has ruined the sport from what it was...and you'll have 5 mins left in a basketball game, and it takes 20 minutes with all the damn stoppages, it's so damn boring. and how do you figure thte pens will win in our arena? i think we'll win; we have the best fans in the NHL and in sports, no questions asked. you're just not patient or don't care about hockey. it's a prominently white sport, based around Canada- but it doesn't matter cause some african americans do watch it, just not you.
and the puck doesn't determine who wins...defense wins games, goalies win games...being a great team wins games..you don't have to be a team scoring 9 goals a game to be a great team in hockey..
Wreckless 04-23-2009, 10:33 PM and you assume everything- lol. it's no longer on ESPN/ESPN2 because of the lockout 3 years ago....so networks didn't pick up the NHL's contract anymore because of the fact that the collective bargaining agreement couldn't agree..it wasn't just ESPN, it was ABC. Now NBC and VS. besides the local channels pick up the games instead.
