Yesterday (4-19-09) on Hallmark, I watched the very last 2-hour episode "The Last Farewell" and really liked it. The only problem I had was the very last scene...it was Jason's & Jeb's rabbits running loose in front of the Ingalls/Carters home. What was the point of that?? Does anyone agree with me that the last scene should've been more meaningful than that! I think the episode should've ended with the whole town walking out of Walnut Grove singing "Onward Christian Soldiers".

I agree. I thought the ending with the rabbits was anti-climactic. It was strange to end the entire series like that.

The only thing I can think of is that the rabbits were symbolic, implying that Walnut Grove would eventually re-populate (we know how rabbits are)! ;)
