I don't think so. There was one episode where Hawkeye spent the whole episode trying to find out what the BJ stood for. Eventually BJ told him "I was named after my parents Bea and Jay". But I think that was just a joke for Hawkeye's benefit. I don't think we ever found out the real answer.

I wish I was as rich as that! (as I'm sure lots of people do!:) But, I'm sure he has money troubles though, like everyone else. I remember reading an article once about some money problems some of these multi-million dollar celebrities run into; and I remember one of them was saying that with all his money his checkbook is "a nightmare to balance")

I'm not so sure it isn't a joke. He sounded most sincere when admitting he was named after his mother Bea and father Jay. It is not uncommon for parents to use one of their names for their child as a middle name. Take another listen and see if you don't agree.

Yes, but you have to take Hawkeye's reaction into account, he confirms for us that BJ is joking by saying something like "I'll never find out!" ;)

It would seem we agree to disagree. Hawkeye's "I'll never find out " seems to suggest he is unwilling / unable to accept what is a very logical response. I for one, am quite satisfied with his answer. Of course, we all know the doctors were crazy there. :crazy:
