One Tree Hill Star Arrested For Fraud

One Tree Hill star Antwon Tanner has been arrested by New York police in connection with a Social Security card scam.

The actor, who plays Skills on the teen show, handed himself over to federal prosecutors on Thursday.

According to TMZ.com Tanner, "knowingly and intentionally" transferred Social Security cards last year "with intent to defraud".

He is due to be arraigned at a U.S. Federal Court in Brooklyn next week.

His character is finally gone. The show is really starting to suck. Hopefully they get better when they come back next month

Tanner Jailed For Three Months

One Tree Hill star Antwon Tanner has been sentenced to three months behind bars for selling social security numbers.

The actor, who played basketball coach Skills on the U.S. teen drama, pleaded guilty in August to dealing out more than a dozen identification codes for $10,000 (£6,250) to an undercover detective during a sting operation.


Despite telling court officials he was only the "middleman" in the deal, a Brooklyn judge ordered the 34 year old to report to jail on 30 April to start his sentence.

He will serve five months home detention upon his release.
