(The NJ Devils beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 and the NY Rangers beat the Washington Capitals 4-3.)
(Alice is home cleaning up.)
(Trixie comes down.)
Trixie: "Hiya Alice!"
Alice: "Hi Trixie!"
Trixie: "I just finished watching those games that our husbands are seeing down at the bar."
Alice: "The Rangers and Devils both won. I bet they were excited. I hope they didn't drink too much. You know how they are as far as drinking goes."
Ralph & Ed (from hallway, yell): "BOW DOWN TO THE DEVILS AND THE RANGERS! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
(Ralph & Ed enter.)
Ralph: "Boy, those Rangers showed the Capitals whose boss. Ha ha."
Ed: "And the Devils beat up those Hurricanes. The chances of at least one of our teams going to the Cup just got better."
Alice: "I take it that you saw the game."
Ralph: "Yes. I want the Devils and Rangers to meet each other in the third round. That way, one of them will go to the Stanley Cup finals and hopefully, they will drink from the cup and say: 'Mmmmmmm BOY! That's good booze.' Just like a famous comedian that I know."
Ed: "I wonder what the fans of the other teams think."
Ralph: "Well, on Friday night, we will watch the Devils game on MSG."
Ed: "Ralph, the Devils aren't associated with The World's Most Famous Arena."
Ralph: "You dope. I meant MSG the cable network."
Ed: "Won't they get sued for riping off the arena?"
Ralph: "They are both owned by the same company you dope. They have been for the last 40 years."
Ed: "I think that that Joe Fenstablau is going to be initated as a Raccoon on Friday. He hates the Devils. Boy, will he be in for a rude awakening."
Ralph: "Ha ha ha ha."
Alice: "Ralph, I hope you don't get your hopes up and think that one of your teams is going to win it all. You do every time and you get dissappointed every time."
Ralph: "I do not. If I lose, I take it like a big man. A big man...DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT ALICE!"
Ed: "Bow down to the Devils and Rangers."
(They sing a song about hockey.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience cheers.)
Jackie: "Thank you...GOOD NIGHT!"
(Audience cheers.)
