I spend a lot of my time here at workl istening to podcasts. That is, when I'm not responding to crystaldawn's 3,000-word-long love letters she sends me via pm.

Some of my faves are:

Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History – (great view on history from a an avowed history nut)
Napoleon 101 – (more than you ever really NEED to know about Napoleon, hosted by an Aussie and a drunken old man)
The Sound of Young America – (interview podcast with comedians/eclectic celebrities)
AroundComics – (comics, comics, and more comics)

Unfortunately, however, I haven’t been able to find an really good true crime podcasts. Nothing with famous cases being discussed, nothing with current crime stories, nothing with FBI or PD personnel talking techniques, NAH-THING!!

I say we all get together and host a huge ass UM podcast in which we debate our favorite segments and I always prove everyone else wrong, crystaldawn constantly tries to flirt with me, nowheregirl incessantly cracks jokes and sings the Scooby-Doo theme song, dislimb keeps trying to call-in and interrupt the program, kadrmas15 always quits and comes back, and each and every episode we have a surprise guest visit by the brother or uncle or neighbor or barber of a person profiled on UM. I say we do all that or…you guys let me know of some true crime podcasts that you know of.

LOL!!!

Okay, I got no good news on "true crimey" pod casts, but I did notice that you live in SacraTomato, while I am stuck here in DeToilet. How unfair is that?

I think my geographical situation of being stuck in detoilet would be vastly improved by some true crimey pod casts. :)

I'm sooooo in, dude.

Actually, why doesn't somebody do this??? Like Bill Kurtis should have his own podcast about unsolved crimes or solved crimes or cold cases or something. Profile one case a day or one case a week, interview the investigators, family member, etc.

Ah Corky you're having those delusions/fantasies about me again. Remember you're supposed to take two of the yellow pills a day, not just one. :D

Hey I've actually found a pretty good one that goes by a couple different names: Las Vegas & the Mob and Juror 13. I enjoy the Vegas Mob / Current Popular Trials slant but Istay away from the Crimes Against Children episode because, just like with UM, I can't stand to hear or see children get hurt. The gentleman who hosts it is a knowledgable true crime writer so its got some good guests and information. BE FOREWARNED: as good as a writer he may be, he's not a radio host and the show is most definitely an amateur's effort. But Stack bless him, he's scratching that "true crime" itch for me and he's successfully doing something I truly think we all could get together and do.
