Saw this episode and forgot why I don't care for some of the season 5 episodes.

I didn't like this one just cause I thought it was silly. I thought that Mike could have told Oliver and Bobby what he ended up telling Carol.

But I don't know if they still would have jumped to conclusions and stuff like that.

And I thought it was a dumb secret, why does it have to be so secretive and really it's no big deal unless Alice was going to live in the store or something.

What did you think of this episode?

It was silly, alright, but it was somewhat reflexive of the times. Nixon and Watergate... the CIA...still trying to put Vietnam, My Lei, et al, to rest. It was more evident that people and government we thought we trusted were not trustworthy. This was kind of an attempt to make light of long dark days. Watergate allegations came out in March, 1973, but it took until August, '74, before the matter was mostly settled and Nixon run out. This was the '73-'74 season, so TBB did an ep that 'talks about' those situations without mentioning them. And it had recently become the new trend in sitcoms to stop avoiding the serious and divisive issues of the day.
