This thread is dedicated to all the SO night owls out there. I know there are alot of us, and I know how dead, and boring it can be around here from the 11:00pm, to 6:00 am hours, so I thought I'd make a thread directed towards those people who are bored, and just want to talk about what they're doing up so late, or why they're having trouble sleeping, or whatever. Whatever's going through your mind in the late night hours, share it here. All of us night owls need a place to talk when we can't sleep, so this thread is dedicated to all of you. Just share whatever is on your mind in those late night hours. :)

I'm somewht of night owl. Probably won't go to bed until around 2 or 3am, so here I am. I don't know what it is. I think I just screw up my sleeping schedule myself. I don't like to go to bed, and when I'm actually in bed, I don't like to get up lol.

I do know why my body clock is messed up! Years of working graveyard shift! (which I no longer do)

One of the reasons school was so rough for me as a kid, was because of my sleeping problems. I'd just lie there in the dark all night. I'd finally fall asleep around 5:00 am, only to have to get up two hours later to go to school. That's part of the reason why my school days were so miserable. Imagine having to have to take class for 7 hours a day on two hours of sleep, if that. Having ADD also didn't help matters any, but I think my lack of sleep was my biggest problem.

I put the "night" in night owl lol..I love staying up and you'll never catch me waking up 7 or 8 AM like those early birds lol... im the complete opposite and usually pull all-nighters, or I stay up extremely late everynight, even on days I have class the next day...

It's only 11:36 here right now. I'm a West Coaster. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be sleeping anytime soon, as I already took my sleeping meds, and am not even remotely tired.

I think this thread was a good idea. You rarely ever see things this active, this late. Hopefully it will continue, because I know I'm not going to be getting any sleep tonight unfortunately.

Well, it's 1:20 am here right now, and I'm actually getting a little tired. Unfortunately, my mind is racing though, and when I can't slow my mind down, I can't sleep. I feel like that Sarah Mclachlan song that says: "I'm so tired, but I can't sleep." That's the story of my life.

I think I'm about to hit the sack. It's about 2:00 am here, and I think my mind has slowed down enough for me to possibly get some sleep. I hope so anyway. Well happy late night posting everyone!!

Thanks Steffy, but unfortunately it didn't work out. :( I just laid there for two hours, unable to fall asleep. Oh well, I'm use to it. I guess I'll just be sleeping my day away tomorrow. Atleast I got my cat Freddie here to keep me company. :)

Night owl too. Especially on weekends if I go out, sometimes I wont go to bed until way after 3AM.

I sleep weird. I usually go to sleep around 11p.m. wake up around 2 a.m. and can't go back to sleep until 3 or 4 a.m.

Yeah, it definitely sucks when you're so freaking tired, but just can't sleep. For me, it's mostly an issue of not being able to shut my mind down. My mind is kind of like the energy bunny, in that it just keeps going, and going.

I'm on vacation, tho, so I woke up at like 8 today. That's the beauty of it - I can sleep anytime I want to and get up anytime I want to. It was really hard for me to get used to working graveyards the first six months I was doing that.

That's funny! I used to have a cat named Albert that was actually a girl. When I first got her, they told me she was a boy. It wasn't until I went to get the cat "fixed" that I learned it was really female. LOL! Well, that was many years ago. Now, I have a cat named Ruben. He really is a boy! :) My little angel!

Brad, you might be up just as late as I am lol....im always up til like 3 in the morning, at an average.....a lot of times longer, some days less but usually around that time

Yeah, I noticed that you're usually up pretty late. I actually hate being a night owl. I've been on just about every sleeping med ever made, and it just doesn't work on me. I sleep fine in the daytime, it's just the nightime when I can't seem to sleep. Just too much going on in my mind I guess.

I'm sorta the same way... I can't go to bed before 3:00am either usually! Even if I've been at school all day and am exhausted, I somehow get this burst of energy and am able to stay awake 20+ hours at a time. But then at noon the next day, I cannot seem to drag myself out of bed:D ... and two days a week I have a class at 8:00am.... yeah, not fun!:eek:
