View Full Version : Tales from traffic court

I went to court to pay a traffic fine the other day. And at the cashiers office there was a man in foot shackles, surrounded by judicial marshalls, in the process of bonding out.

While signing some papers akwardly with his wrists cuffed, he looks over his shoulder at me, and asks if I can give him a ride home.

THE TOPPER: his charge was domestic violence.

Anyone else got stories from court?

Good for you, Kimberlee!! Thank goodness I've never had to go to traffic court. Another thing, I really admire you - I definitely could not be a security guard.

oh, thanks monika, thats really sweet. the job is one that definately gets very little respect so you saying that means so much.

although its ill paying i have enjoyed my experiences and wouldn't trade them for the world. i've got to go behind the scenes in places most don't get to and its made me well rounded. i've been in morgues, homeless shelters, dcf's. even been to a coca cola factory and got to see how soda is made from beginning to end.

Yes, you definitely have some on-the-job experiences most of us don't. It has to be interesting!!

I work at a call center for an office supply retailer. There is an opening in the email department - which I REALLY, REALLY want, no matter how much extra training I might need. So if you want to pray for me, please pray for that. :D

Ironically, my brother-in-law is taking EMT classes now, too. I wish you both nothing but the best!! :bighug:

Thank you for the support and prayers, Kimberlee. I already applied, so we'll see what happens. Lord, you know how much I want this job, but Your Will be done.

An EMT job with more money would be great for my sister and brother-in-law since there is one child and another on the way, and they only have one car. Top of my sister's wish list is a minivan so my brother-in-law could keep driving the Intrepid.
