Dan Aykroyd, former "Saturday Night Live" actor and star of the "Ghostbuster" films, visited a Bottle King store in Morris Plains Thursday to promote his own brand of vodka, according to a report on Morristown Green.com.

At the signing, Aykroyd also commented on the recent UFO hoax in Morris County (see video below). Between Jan. 5 and Feb. 19, Chris Russo, 29, of Morris Plains, and Joe Rudy, 28, released helium balloons with traffic flares tied to them from a field in Hanover Township on five separate occasions in what they called a "social experiment" to debunk the pseudoscience of UFOs.

According to a report in the Daily Record, Aykroyd, 56, was involved in every aspect of Crystal Head Vodka, from ingredients to packaging. The vodka is encased in clear skull-shaped containers.

Aykroyd has had previous business ventures, partnering with with Jean-Charles Boisset and DeLoach Vineyards for wine and investing in the House of Blues, the report said.

According to a separate report in The Daily Record, around 750 people stood in the aisles of the liquor store to talk with Aykroyd.

Aykroyd will also be in Wayne Saturday, when he'll sign his $41-dollar-a-bottle vodka at Gary's Wine and Marketplace from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Yah, he was just in Toronto doing the same thing - peddling wine and vodka and talking about once the economics get better, he'll be building a House of Blues in Toronto.

I didn't hear him talk about UFOs tho!! :lol: Just the old days when he grew up here.
