Because DAVID CHAPELLE was on the spinoff called "buddies" that premeired in March of 1996. Show only lasted 3 weeks and I'm wondering if their episode on Home Improvement is cut out of syndication. I been watching Home Improvement for a year and have yet to see David Chapelle's character

Chappelle was on Tool Time with a couple other guys talking about their wives.

edit: I see no reason why it would have been a spinoff of Home Improvement.

Well I glad I missed it because I hate Dave Chapelle

And if I am not mistaken, "Soul Man" was a spin-off as well. It had Dan Aykroyd playing his pastor character from the Losing My Religion episode in Season 7.

I remember Soul Man, but I don't even remember the other show with Chappelle.

I don't even remember this show at all.

However, I learned about this when I was trying to find short-lived television series on DVD for the thread in the "TV Series on DVD" forum.

Best Buy released the show on DVD for a limited time in 2005 with 10 of the 13 episodes.
