Newly single Lindsay Lohan may not want to get too psyched about playing Stevie Nicks on the big screen.

In an interview published Thursday, The New York Times asked the 60-year-old Fleetwood Mac singer -- who battled a drug and alcohol addiction -- about reports that Lohan, 22, wants to buy the rights to Nicks' life story and play her on film.

"Over my dead body," Nicks snapped. "She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we'll talk."

In the new issue of Us Weekly, Lohan -- who is currently serving a three-year probation term for her second DUI incident -- insists, "I got in trouble, but that's in my past and that was a long time ago."

Or worse, the Jonas Brothers playing The Rolling Stones; the thought is just preposterous (in the same notion as Logan *thinking* she can portray Stevie Nicks); even though Nicks did have a major problem with cocaine back in the 1970s and early 1980s; the comparison between her and Logan ends there!!!

I'm in the minority here, but I think she would be a good choice. She's a fairly decent actress and has some singing ability.

I can't really blame Stevie on this one. I think Lindsay has acting talent, but she's not exactly someone I'd want my name associated with, either. Though, I think if Lindsay really cleans up, she will eventually be able to redeem herself as an actress.

I agree with you. From what I hear, Lindsay is clean and sober. I think people are too judgemental today. Nicks was in and out of rehabs, burned a hole through her nose from snorting too much cocaine. Fleetwood Mac, great music, but let's face it, one big game of musical beds. I guess drugs and partying were in style when she was a star. She's nobody to bash anyone. I get a kick out of these older stars, blasting the younger beautiful stars. Nicks was ragging on Britney Spears not all that long ago too. Faye Dunaway publicly ripping on Hillary Duff. Lauren Bacall, I forget, but she was bashing someone.

I think Lindsay would do a great job playing Nicks. She's got the looks and the acting talent. Anyone who wants to criticize Lindsay's acting should actually watch a couple of her movies. She can act. If Joaquin Phoenix can sing as Johnny Cash in, Walk The Line, Lohan can sing as Nicks. It woudn't be a stretch in the looks department either. Put on a witch outfit and twirl around the stage. I think Lindsay is much prettier than Stevie was back in the day. We all have our opinions.
