Even though I felt this was a LOW POINT of the entire series, out of the 6 I would have to say I liked watching

Aunt Esther and Uncle Woodrow
Tyrannt, Thy name is Grady
Lamont goes Karate

The Three Unwatchable ones was

Will the Real Fred Sanford Please Do Something?
The Way to Lamont's Heart
Hello Cousin Emma

Worst out of all 6 was WILL THE REAL FRED SANFORD

I kind of liked The Way to Lamont's Heart and Hello Cousin Emma. Didn't like the Aunt Esther and Uncle Woodrow one as much. But all in all, I thought the Grady eps were pretty good.

The Way to Lamont's Heart - the only ep to feature Julio and Grady together, if I'm not mistaken.

The ep is not all that great in and of itself, but I'd watch Gregory Sierra (Julio) read the phone book. :D

I personally found "Will the Real Fred Sanford Please Do Something" and "Hello Cousin Emma Ok. Cousin Emma was especially a funny one. This Way to Lamont's Heart was garbage. I don't know who gave Whitman Mayo those lines in that episode, but he was unfunny. I think they tried to make him be like Fred, but he could not deliver like Redd Foxx.

Yeah, and there was only one ep with Julio and Rollo together. That was the poker one with that tough dude named Arms.

Even though I wasn't crazy about the episodes without Redd Foxx, the one Grady episode that stands out to me is "Tyranny, Thy Name is Grady."

You would figure with Lamont being friends with both Rollo and Julie, the three of them would have been in more scenes together.

I know but instead they wanted to highlight ******** Grady. They coukd have had things like

Julio and Lamont at a Bar
Rollo and Lamont on a double date
Julio, Rollo, and Lamont at a Basketball Game
Lamont inside Julio House

That was the ep that pissed me off the most because as old as Lamont was he should have kicked Grady's a$$ all over the house when he told him he couldn't have company. Especially when he had the riffle pointed and touching his face. I would have broke his JAW

I would have liked to see Julio and Rollo in more scenes myself, but if you look at it, the only thing Julio and Rollo had in common was that they were both friends of Lamont. They were nothing alike. Put Juilo and Rollo in a scene themselves, they would have both considered one another a friend of a friend. But yeah, those writers should have had Rollo and Julio in more scenes together with Lamont.

I don't know who I was more pissed at, Lamont for being a B*TCH in his own home and not standing up to someone who he wasn't related to or Grady for trying to be like his real father and tell him what he can't do in his own house

What pissed me off about Lamont during this time, was that he depended on Grady to cook his meals like Fred! Why you need this old bum to cook for you and he's a guest?! Grady didn't seem like he was on the ball, so Lamont should have cooked his own meals or ate out! At the same time, the writers and producers thought Grady could be Fred, and he could not.

And another that pissed me off was how Grady did that slimy sh*t and went and got Esther and her Church friends to interrupt Lamont and Rollo's evening. I swear if I was Lamont I would have put him in the hospital-lol Fred would have called and said-"how is Grady? And I would have said-"I put that mutherf*cker in the hospital"

LOL-LOL

Grady was not a guest. Fred had given him charge of the house until he returned.

I think Julio had too much good sense to hang out with a cat like Rollo.

I wish they did more scenes with Rollo; his interaction with all of the main characters was one of the highlights of Sanford and Son...But, in regards of Grady. I personally thought he was a weak choice to replace Fred Sanford. Redd Foxx should had picked someone else to fill in his place while he took a hiatus from his show...and with that I cannot even fathom what episode I would pick; they all sucked!!!

Another Grady episode I liked is the one with Ron Glass who plays an ex con, and Grady is immedietly suspicious of.

I think Redd Foxx thought too much of himself to risk a replacement that might outshine him or that the audience might take a shine to.
