NBC's little-seen drama "Kings," which has disappointed on Sunday nights, is being exiled to Saturdays.
Peacock plans to air two-hour editions of "Dateline NBC" in the 7-9 p.m. slot beginning Sunday. NBC execs believe the newsmag will serve as a better lead-in to "Celebrity Apprentice."

But rather than scrap "Kings" altogether, NBC will continue to air the show in the Saturday at 8 p.m. slot, where expectations are extremely low. Peacock mostly airs drama repeats on the night.

Move also comes as the Sci Fi Channel is set to run a marathon of "Kings" episodes Thursday night.

NBC had been waiting to see if "Kings" would hold steady, but the drama posted its lowest rating yet on Sunday -- a 1.1 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers. After four episodes, the show has averaged a 1.5 rating/4 share in the demo.

Michael Green exec produces "Kings," which comes from Universal Media Studios. The modern-day "David and Goliath" drama stars Ian McShane, Chris Egan, Sebastian Stan, Susanna Thompson, Alison Miller, Wes Studi, Eamonn Walker and Dylan Baker.
