I have so many, I could easily list hundreds, but I will start with just a couple for now, and give you more great moments later. I will make youtube links for each moment for those who want to watch it. My first moment has to do with the old school Undertaker, and his face off with the intimidating Nailz. Nailz had just been brought in to the WWF to do an angle with The Big Boss Man. A week or so earlier, Nailz had chained the Bossman up to the ring ropes, and savagely beat him with a nightstick for several minutes. In this video, Nailz refuses to leave the ring until the Big Bossman comes out. Only problem was, it wasn't the big Bossman's turn to have a match, it was the Undertaker's. I remember originally watching this moment, and I literally had chills down my spine as the Undertaker's music started, and he started making his way down to the ring, with Nailz standing his ground. If you haven't seen this video, it's a must see. Definitely one of the greatest moments in wrestling history IMO.

The other video was one of the bigger surprises that I've ever seen in wrestling history. It is the pro wrestling debut of Bill Goldberg. When he was standing in that ring, and waiting for Hugh Morrus to enter, he just stood there with a blank stare on his face, and right away, I knew I was looking at someone special. I just didn't realize at the time how special he'd end up being. I just figured, and I'm sure most of the crowd figured it would be a five minute victory for Morrus, since unannounced newcomers never won their debut matches. What happened in this match, and the amount of time in which it happened, baffled me, and I remember saying after his first match, that this guys' going to be a Champion one day, and boy was I ever right. For any wrestling fans who have not seen these two moments, I highly recommend that you do. These are just two of the moments that have made me a pro wrestling fan for life. I loved that match!!! I must have seen it atleast five times. :thumbsup: But my all time favorite Wrestlemania match, was Steve Austin vs Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13!! Funny thing is, it's my favorite Wrestlemania match, yet it's my second least favorite Wrestlemania of all time, right behind Mania 16. That match had it all though, pure wrestling, brawling, the use of foreign objects, an obscene amount of blood, and Ken Shamrock as referee. I'll never forget the sight of the blood that was squirting out of Austin's temples, as he tried with all his might to get out of the sharpshooter, before eventually passing out. That match was amazing.

My favorite Mania moment of all time though, was at Wrestlemani 23 at Ford Field in front of 80,000 screaming fans. I'm biased on this one because I actually attended this event. The most memorable part for me was seeing The Undertaker wrestle, which had always been a dream of mine, and I will never forget the intense chills I got when He got the 1-2-3 for the Heavyweight title. When his music started up, I literally felt like I was having an out of body experience, and I just wanted that moment to last forever. That's a memory I'll always treasure!!

I have so many good moments in wrestling. 1985 was a good year for the WWF. Watching the first Wrestlemania build up. I also remember watching the very first Saturday Night's Main Event. I was so excited. They had that Land of 1,000 Dances video featuring the stars of the day. (Brian, I know you are old enough to remember) Watching the cartoon Hulk Hogan's Rock n' Wrestling.

In the NWA, I loved the Four Horsemen vs. anybody. Especially Dusty Rhodes, Magnum TA, and Nikita Koloff. The Road Warriors vs. The Koloffs, etc.

But the best match I ever saw was Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair. Clash of the Champions VI. 54 minutes agianst Wrestlemania V.

No. It started March 31, 1985.

I just remembered my ALL TIME favorite Wrestling moment, and it didn't happen on a Wrestlemania, or any big pay per view, it happened on a pre-taped episode of Raw in early 1999. I'll sound pathetic here, but this moment had such an impact on me, I cried tears of joy for atleast 15 minutes after it happened, and I mean I sobbed!!!

The Moment I'm referring to is when my all time favorite wrestler/character. "Mankind" won his first WWF championship. Mankind had been busting his as for years for every company known to man, even getting himself blown up, and set on fire in matches in Japan. The things mankind constantely put his body through is second to none, compared to that of any wrestler I ever saw in my generation. Up until he won the Championship, he was always known as the guy that came so close, but always seemed to get screwed out of the title. It seemed so unfair to me at the time that a guy who was truly risking his life everytime he went out to the ring, always got screwed in the end, while guys like Hulk Hogan would go out their and put on a 10 minute borefest, and be a 10 time Champion. I always resented that. That's one reason why Mankind winning the title meant so much to me.

He was fighting The Rock for the WWF Championship, and had DX in his corner, since Vince had the corporation out there in the Rock's corner. The match wasn't the greatest, but that didn't even matter, and you could tell it didn't matter to the fans either. Here's how the match ended. A bunch of guys from the corporation were interferring in the match, and so DX came in and began defending Mankind, starting an all out brawl. As the brawl proceeded, all of a sudden the unmistakable sound of glass shattering erupted, as Stone cold Steve Austin made his way to the ring. The crowd's roar was deafening, as I think they felt something special was about to happen. The referre was distracted by the brawl going on, and so Austin took that opportunity to grab a chair, and hit Rock over the head with it. The Rock fell down in a heap, and Austin threw Mankind on top of the Rock, and the referee made the count, 1-2-3!!!!! At this moment, I was up on my feet literally jumping up and down with joy with my fists clinched tightly together. I mean it when I say this, I had never before, or since, heard as loud of a crowd reaction as when the ref hit the mat for the three count. And it wasn't just the loudness that was so special, it was the genuine enthusiasm and excitement in the fans that made it so special. They were jumping for joy, just as I was.

I remember Michael Cole making a great call saying, Mankind has achieved his dream, and the dream of everyone else who's been told you can't do it!!! And he was absolutely right. I always related to the Mankind character. I always felt like the weird guy, that liked to hang out in cold basements, and punish myself as a means of getting out the pain I felt deep inside. And so when he won the Championship, I honestly felt like I had won it too. Everytime he lost, I felt like I lost, but at that moment, he finally got what he deserved, and I won the belt that night too!! That right there, is byfar my favorite wrestling moment of all time, and will likely end up being the all time greatest moment for me EVER. I can't see anything surpassing that. Here's an edited video of this amazing moment. Pay close attention to the crowd's prolonged, and enthusiastic reaction at the end of the match. It made the moment so much more special!!!

My only complaint is that the match wasn't longer. Anytime you see two legends like that in there, you like to see it go 20 minutes or so, and 7 minutes doesn't do these two legends justice IMO.

That was the one with Tyson wasn't it? That was a pretty good Wrestlemania, especially Austin winning his first ever Championship.

I lost a lot of respect for Schiavone that night. :mad:

And what did Nitro offer (I saw the replay)? Another cheap finish involving Hollywood Hogan and Kevin Nash. :rolleyes:

I remember vividly when Schiavone totally dissed Mankind, and I was PISSED!! I just thought of everything Mick had done in WCW, and couldn't believe that they would disrespect him in that way. I remember Schiavane saying something to the effect of, imagine having a Champion like that representing your company, that'll sure give you viewers. He may have been speaking sarcastically, but boy did his words ever bite him in the ass.

Turned out WCW's little plan to take viewership away from the WWF backfired, and when Tony mentioned Mankind winning the title, over a half million Mankind fans like myself, turned the channel over to Raw, and they ended up kicking WCW's ass in the ratings that night. Sad part for WCW was that Raw was pre-taped, while WCW was going live, coming off a big PPV, and had Bill Goldberg fighting in the main event, but those comments by Schiavone really screwed them over in the end.

I heard on WWE 24/7 once about how hurt Mick was watching Nitro that night, and hearing what Tony said. He said he was sitting there watching with his kids, and went from this great high of just winning the title, to feeling sick in his stomache. :( Turns out that Mick actually called Tony, and left a message for him asking why he said those things. Shortly after, he got a call back from Schiavone, and Mick's wife answered and said it's Tony, he sounds sad. Turns out the words he said that night were given to him by Eric Bischoff, and he didn't even want to say them afterall. He still did say them though, and you can't take that away, and so I too lost alot of respect for Tony that night.

Here are a couple memorable moments for me. They are memorable because of the controversy they caused. These are moments from the last days of WCW. Both moments were total shoots that happened on a live ppv event. In the first video, Jeff Jarrett shocks the world by lying down for Hogan in their match. Jeff apparantely was suppose to win, but Hogan politicked backstage to get the win, and Vince Russo gave him his wish in an unexpected way, to a shocked WCW crowd.

The other moment happened later that night, as Russo tried to explain to the crowd what they had just seen with Hogan. The crowd sat their in shock, as Russo shot on Hogan, calling him out on his apparent bullsh*t politics. For those who witnessed the Bret Hart screw job, but never witnessed these events, I highly recommend you check them out. In my opinion they were every bit, if not more shocking than the Bret screw job.

For all you wrestling shoot fans out there, here's a rarely known shoot that took place in the early days of TNA wrestling. Rowdy Roddy Piper shocked the TNA audience by shooting on Vince Russo. Russo eventually came out to the ring, and Piper shot right to his face. The most shocking moment came when Piper said to Russo: Did you kill Owen Hart?? :eek: It even got physical, as Piper hit Russo upside the head with his book. This is probably the most intense, and real in ring shoot I ever saw, and is a must see!!

Here is a match that in my opinion is the greatest match in Wrestlemania history. It's Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker from Wrestlemania 25. This match is a work of art, and reminded me why I became a fan to begin with. If you're a fan, and haven't seen this match, do yourself a favor, and check it out!! Not only is it the greatest Wrestlemania match I've ever seen, but it's one of the greatest matches I've seen period, and I've seen thousands. This one is special!!!
