View Full Version : Who was the first, and who was the most recent person who P.M.ed you?
Brad Russ 04-06-2009, 04:02 PM And who was the first person and last person you pme'd?? I just scanned through my 1207 archived pm's, and saw that the first person to ever pm me was Pavanbadal. I believe I had a question for him about the tv boards. The most recent person to pm me was Kim, (PunkyPower). The first person I ever pme'd was someone named MJFan, which makes sense considering I spent 90 percent of my time at the FT boards back in the day. I haven't pme'd anyone in awhile, but the last person I did, was also the last person who pm'ed me, and that's Kim. :) If some of you don't want to answer this question, I understand. I know pming is private, but for those of you who don't mind, please share who your first and most recent PM's were from.
catlover79 04-06-2009, 04:12 PM I forgot who was the first person who PMed me, but the last was JamesG (and thanks for your response!). The last person I personally PMed was Kristen.
Marvo301 04-06-2009, 04:28 PM The most recent person to PM me was Sharop. And as I replied to that PM, Sharop is the most recent person I PM'd. I'm not sure but I think the first person to PM me may have been Monika(catlover79).
JamesG 04-06-2009, 04:30 PM I won't give much detail since I try not to talk about pm'ing in public but I will say the first PM's I ever got here were people who were interested in getting me to buy/trade things. Don't know if any other new members experienced this.
-No problem catlover.

ekkostar 04-08-2009, 07:19 AM I usually ignore PMs because they're always either from a mod or some person that wants to pick a superficial fight with you over a subject that was posted elsewhere, so I never open my PM folder.

That's not always the case with everyone. I either PM someone just to chat or to privately discuss subjects that have either been discussed on the boards or that the person has mentioned and I'd either like to hear more about their viewpoint or just have a more personal, in-depth discussion with them and tell them my own views. But I don't PM people in order to pick fights. So if you got one from me, it wouldn't be to start a fight with you.
Also, if a moderator sends you a PM it's likely for a good reason, so it probably be best to read those at least.
Getting involved in PM discussions can also help you get to know other people better, away from the public forum. :)

Well that's too bad. :( I've never gotten an angry pm myself, knock on wood, so I've been lucky in that regard.

I have a couple of times back in the days when the politics board was rocking but actually, it ended up being an excellent discussion to clear up a misunderstanding. Since he's no longer around, I can probably say it was with Munsters#1. We had been in a wicked fight on the boards (Janice actually had to step in) but actually ended up becoming good friends because of being able to use the PM section. Unfortunately, he didn't stick around too long afterwards, only a few months and he was gone.
I remember the first one you sent to me too Brad like it was yesterday. I thought it took a lot guts to do it because we were on opposite sides of a topic (religion). I admired you a lot from that moment on. :D

Awww, thanks so much Cathie, it really warmed my heart reading that. :) I remember our heated Religion debate as well, but even as we were debating, there was just something different about you, and I liked you, and wanted to get to know you. The main reason I emailed you is because I thought you seemed like a cool person, but another reason I did it is because I wanted to show you that even though we disagreed, there was no hard feelings on my part, and I also wanted you to know that I was tolerant, and wasn't the fake type of Christian who is intollerant, and unwilling to be friends with someone with different beliefs. I just wanted you to know that TRUE Christians weren't like that.
Now, I can honestly say that you're one of my best friends in the world, and your views on Religion don't make me love you any less. As you once mentioned in a thread, I'm your S.O. soulmate, and you are one of mine as well. I'm glad we got into that Religious debate, because had we not, I don't think we'd be as close as we are today. God certainly works in mysterious ways. :)
