View Full Version : Then & Now: Scott Valentine (Nick Moore) Brian Damage 04-05-2009, 10:45 AM ;) catlover79 04-05-2009, 12:21 PM Wow...I would not have recognized him. But he looks good. "YO MALLORY!!" TripperFan 04-05-2009, 03:40 PM LOL Boy did I have a crush on him. Actually he does still look great. I'll bet his kids love teasing him about being the Nick character pretty good. Family Ties Forever! 04-05-2009, 06:58 PM He was so ugly back then. Just my opinion. That first picture :puke: catlover79 04-05-2009, 07:35 PM I just crack up whenever I see pics of people with that big 80s hair... Marvo301 04-05-2009, 10:49 PM I think Scott has aged very gracefully. PrettyinPink55 04-06-2009, 01:12 AM I think Scott has aged very gracefully. Same here!!! I think he looks great!!! Anyone have a current picture of Skippy?? Family Ties Forever! 04-06-2009, 01:25 AM Scott looks better now. Back then, ugh. I don't want anyone to take my post the wrong way. It was simply my opinion. I don't want there to be any problems. I saw a recent picture of Marc Price who played Skippy. He was cute back then. I don't think he's cute anymore. Again just my opinion. It's a shame. He has gained a lot of weight. catlover79 04-06-2009, 01:53 AM Marc Price was in the extras in one of the Family Ties DVD sets. I actually think he looks better now than he did then, but I digress. PrettyinPink55 04-06-2009, 01:57 AM I wonder, do you think it's the hair that influences your opinion...I mean, if he had a different hairstyle, would you think differently?? Marvo301 04-06-2009, 02:15 AM Here's Skippy!!! 146832 PrettyinPink55 04-06-2009, 03:01 AM Here's Skippy!!! 146832 He looks almost the same, just a bit chubbier! :) TripperFan 04-06-2009, 10:45 AM He looks almost the same, just a bit chubbier! :) I think Skippy looks pretty good actually! At least he doesn't look nerdy now. And as for the hair on Scott - it's whatever you grow up with. I still love long or full "crazy" hair on guys - but of course I grew up through the late 60's, the 70s and was in my twenties during the 80s so to me, I love guys with hair layered like that to this day. To me, I feel sorry for young girls right now. Young guys who's hair is at its best and most hair they will ever have are shaving or shearing it so short it's a shame. They all look like they should be in the army or recently had brain surgery imo. I don't get it because then they freak out when they start losing their hair?  catlover79 04-06-2009, 12:50 PM ^ I hear ya. My dad actually started losing his hair while he was in his late teens (!) and then went into the Navy, so he did have to shave whatever hair he had left close. Today he's completely bald but he seems to like it. Hey, the Kojak look actually works on some guys. Scoobiedoo30 04-06-2009, 12:55 PM Scoot looks younger TripperFan 04-06-2009, 02:29 PM ^ I hear ya. My dad actually started losing his hair while he was in his late teens (!) and then went into the Navy, so he did have to shave whatever hair he had left close. Today he's completely bald but he seems to like it. Hey, the Kojak look actually works on some guys. There is nothing wrong with any guy who goes bald young. My dad was the same way -- by age 22 he had the fringe. A guy in my highschool who had hair very similar to Scott's in the first pic was even worse off by 22 but still looked great to me (if they have good eyes, that's all they need imo). ;) Bald can definitely be beautiful, but if a guy is young and has great hair, enjoy it while you can! Just keep it trimmed and washed properly (nothing worse than long, stringy hair that just "hangs there" - eeewwww!) catlover79 04-06-2009, 02:36 PM ^ Very true!! Speaking of cute guys (who started to lose their hair) - did you see my newest post over at the Barney Miller board, Cathie? I think you'd dig it. :D Family Ties Forever! 04-06-2009, 10:45 PM I think Skippy looks pretty good actually! At least he doesn't look nerdy now. Imo, he looks better with glasses. Family Ties Forever! 04-08-2009, 12:30 AM Here's a picture of Marc Price. :) catlover79 05-02-2009, 09:55 PM Here's a picture of Marc Price. :) Great pic!! He's held up very well over the years. (Has it really been 20 years now since FT ended??) Marvo301 05-02-2009, 09:58 PM Great pic!! He's held up very well over the years. (Has it really been 20 years now since FT ended??) Marc actually reminds me of Anson Williams from Happy Days! catlover79 05-02-2009, 10:06 PM You know, I can see a resemblance there, too! factsoflife 06-02-2009, 08:10 PM you know i have this thing for guys with big 80's hair so i liked the look of Nick back then. he looks ok now, but i loved him back then! factsoflife 06-02-2009, 08:11 PM Here's a picture of Marc Price. :) he looks great now! Nighthawk76 06-03-2009, 12:25 AM Scott has really changed over the last 20 years. I think he looks good though. He's aged well. magellan333 06-06-2009, 12:01 PM I wonder if we saw a picture of Scott during Family Ties run, and not in character as Nick, if we'd see much difference between then and now. TripperFan 06-06-2009, 12:23 PM I wonder if we saw a picture of Scott during Family Ties run, and not in character as Nick, if we'd see much difference between then and now. Actually that pic is taken as Scott - he's not wearning that dangly ear cuff or the army fatigues. Looks like it might have been taken at some event. I gotta admit, I do like that hair back then! Makes a gal think that she can muss it up and run your fingers thru it without upsetting him that you've messed it up! ;) ....course then again, you couldn't muss up his "do" now that much either... Schmoopie 06-07-2009, 06:43 AM Wow, Nick really looks different now! Actually he reminds me of Anthony Bourdaine on the Food Network. I'm sure I've butchered the name though. The guy on "No Reservations". That was the first person I thought of when I saw the picture. Mark Price looks good as well. I agree that in that first picture, he looks a little heavier, but that comes with aging for some of us, unfortunately. He's kept his boyish looks, though. Is he a comedian now, or does anyone know what he's up to these days? Thanks for posting those pictures! Couch Potato 05 03-28-2010, 03:56 AM What time will do! Scott looks so different. Almost like what's his name from American Idol who won w/ the grey hair. Family Ties Forever! 10-17-2010, 03:01 PM Bringing this back up for anyone who didn't see it before. biffbronson 10-18-2010, 02:56 PM Scott really has changed in appearance moreso than Marc, in my opinion. On some of the Matlock forums, people talk about "big hair" for the ladies on that series. Actually in most cases people with nice hair look good wearing it "big," whatever that means...! Coffeecup 10-23-2010, 04:04 PM All I can say is "we all have to age. Sad but we do. As long as you are healthy it is not bad to age. I rather to pale and bit wrinkly than be sick and dying and be pretty. Make up does a lot and I need some. |
