You're right Fred probably did need his ass kicked, but I looked at it as payback when Lamont tried to destroy Fred's rap on previous episodes. Because I liked Fred waaaaaay better than Lamont, it was funny to see Fred intefere on Lamont's groove.

The Fast Fannie episode is not the only time Lamont ruined an evening for Fred. Remember the episode where Lamont invited Donna over after Fred made a date with another woman.


Fred always got him back. Remember when Lamont was running for State Assemblymen, and Fred showed up at the TV station to beg Lamont to come home, but ended up embarrasing him.

Fred Did Them A Favor by crashing their little party! These "hot wires, with no insulation" were beyond Ghetto! Lamont & Rollo had way too much class for these countryfried-hoochie-mamas. They were embarrasing to watch! Rollo's reaction when he realized it was Fred at the door was both classic & priceless, in true Rollo form: "Awe Nawe!"

I thought Fred was endearing in the show with the two live wires from Detroit. But I think Lamont needed HIS a** kicked in "Members of the Wedding", along with the "three ugly witches" who sequestered Donna in the kitchen. Lamont could really act like a spoiled brat at times, and this one of the few episodes where I thoroughly disliked that character. ticked:
