Danny - LOVED IT. This is a good start...

Danny sucked. i hated that arrangement and all i could think of was David's performance of that song last year and on tour which beats Danny's x32409834209423.

Kris chose the wrong song, not a good performance.

Kris - Ew. Poor song choice. He's so much better than that.

Lil - pretty good vocally, but the performance itself was blah. i think she's officially just fodder at this point. she started off as a promising Mary J Blidge-type but now she's just another typical AI diva. i think she still has potential but she's choosing to sing typical "diva" songs and it's just like a "been there, done that" thing at this point.

Lil - Weirdly enough, I agree with everything the judges said. She's a really good singer but she just isn't very original. Reminds me of.. LA TOYA LONDON anyone? She has potential but as of right now she's just a really good karaoke singer.

Anoop - this was pretty good but he's not really all that impressive to me, i don't see much potential in him honestly. however this was probably the best performance so far.

Anoop - Sang really well. Good arrangement. I think he is improving a lot.

I feel bad for Lil. She has a great voice, and I thought it was a good performance. They keep telling her to be more original, more contemporary, but with only getting to choose songs for her birth year, it's hard to do that. Hopefully she'll get through next week, and get the chance to be more contemporary, because that's when she's best.

Everyone else was on the same level - good, nothing special so far.

Danny wasnt too bad, Archie was TONS better at it.

Scott - i'm glad he changed it up but it was sort of awkward. you could tell he wasn't comfortable without the piano and there were some really bad notes. that said, it was a decent performance, but nothing outstanding.

Allison - definitely the best so far tonight, i really liked that. i don't like her style but again...she's the most marketable by far.

Each week, I find both Anoop's and Scott's performances very awkward to watch, and this week was no different. Anoop was good, though. Scott really didn't have a good week.

Very weird how Randy mentioned that Allison reminded him of Kelly Clarkson, because immediately when he said that, I noticed that Allison had a striking resemblance to Kelly - has anyone else seen this?

Really, though, Allison was the first wow singer of the night for me. She was really great this week, and is easily becoming my favorite contestant. I really didn't see what Simon meant about her not being likeable or talkative enough, though, because she seems to be quite the opposite, with an AMAZING voice.

i dont really understand the Allison/Kelly comaprisons, at least not from when Kelly was on Idol. Kelly was more of a soul singer on Idol.

Lil and Scott need to be in the bottom 3. Why are the judges always up Danny's butt. He isn't that great.

They're really crunching for time tonight. Matt wasn't as good as they said he was, but the comments were just about as brief as I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if they skip Adam's comments altogether, seeing how much they'll probably love him :rolleyes:

I'm sorry, I just don't see the fascination with Adam. I found his voice very screechy at points tonight.

Wow, 8 minutes over it looks like for tonight - that's gotta be a new record. IMO, the best of the night goes to Allison, with Matt a close second. Neither better be in the bottom 3 this week.

Lil needs to go tomorrow. I'm sorry but she's just not really up to par with the rest, who keep improving and she keeps just kinda doing the same old thing.

Adam is SO not mainstream, and i cant believe the judges liked that steaming pile of boring dated crap. i can't wait until he wins and becomes a complete failure because the current music industry would never accept anyone like him, sorry. honestly, if you take away the kewl blue lighting and the acting, you get a mediocre, outdated performance.

He's probably one of the few contestants this mediocre season that has potential to do well in the industry, because he can sing AND perform. I think he could put on a concert and we could be wowed by his voice AND entertained. I definitely can't see anyone buying Scott's boring CD and Lil doesn't even have that great of a voice and isn't very unique for her genre. The only other people I could see maybe doing well if they had good singles are Allison and Kris.

I kind of have to agree about Scott. His performance really wasn't that good, and he probably deserves to go home before Lil does. I'd rate him the worst for this week. Being blind probably is helping him to a certain extent. It almost feels rigged to a point, even though it's a rude thing to say.

Last night, I put in 5 votes for Lil Rounds, and 4 votes for Allison Iraheta. I really like both of them. Also, how hard was it for the show to be one hour? It ran ten minutes longer than it should have last night.

1. Allison- Definitely the best of the night. She is an amazing young woman.

2. Scott- I liked his performance, although I agree that he's better with the piano. I don't think his disability is what's keeping him on the show. He has talent.

3. Danny- Still one of my favorites, but I thought that was a lousy performance. He sounded very nasally and the arrangement was weird.

4. Kris- I wouldn't have chosen that song, but he was still pretty good.

5. Anoop- Nop bad.

6. Adam- Count me in with those who don't understand the appeal.

7. Matt- Too nasally and boy-band for me.

8. Lil- Biggest disappointment for me this season.

I think it's time for Lil to go.

According to DialIdol, Scott and Kris are in danger tonight. Based on that, the bottom 3 could be Scott, Kris, and Anoop tonight. Lil looks to be safe with her strong fanbase, and Allison came in third for the night, everyone far behind, Adam, though.

It's pretty obvious at this point at every contestant is just an opening act for the great Adam Lambert. Seriously, he's always either last or second to last, every single week.

Well, a Scott, Anoop, Lil bottom 3 for tonight. Anoop probably doesn't deserve to be there, but it looks pretty right I think. Now I wonder if the judges will use their save - my guess would be they'd use it on Lil if she were to go home, possibly Anoop. But, it may be Scott who ends up going up tonight.

Adam could sing anything and any genre. I think he could do pop/rock and be successful, but really he could do almost anything. I just think he has "it."

yeah Lil is the next weakest of the pack. i have a feeling someone like Allison or Kris is going to get the lowest number of votes next week though and the judges are going to save them.

I'm really sad to see Scott go. I really enjoyed him. Lil should have been the one to go home, IMHO.

Yeah, I felt bad for Scott, but it was his time. I have a feeling Anoop will be next - he has the smallest fanbase of the 7 left, no matter how good or bad he is. Lil has a very strong fanbase - she had her worst performance this week, but wasn't even in the bottom 3.

The top 7 this year is really strong, though. All of them are really great singers, which is something you don't normally see in Idol. I really wouldn't mind seeing any of them win.

they're strong singers, but i don't think most of them would stand a chance in today's music industry.

I think Danny could have a future in country music if that's what he wants to go for. He did a fantastic job singing Jesus, Take the Wheel and What Hurts the Most.

Adam should go for Broadway or something.

I can see Kris, Allison, and Scott doing well in adult contemporary or soft rock.

It's really hard to predict who'll be next, because they're all so good. I think it's going to depend on the performances from now on. If one of them really bombs tonight, that's it.
