Today is April Fools day, and I was wondering if any of you guys ever have pulled off a great joke/prank where someone truly believed what you said for a while.

I have one of my own- it was on SO last year.

I'm not going to go into great detail, but if you ask Ramona, she'll tell you about it.

I can't say this was the best prank but when I was in 10th grade, my friend & I decided to play a prank on our World Lit teacher. We typed a letter telling her that she had been nominated for Teacher of the Year. I then forged our principal's signature. I got that from a Tiger-gram that he used to send us every week. I played in marching band and we played at the football games and he would wish us good luck with our half time show.

So knowing that the teacher usually stood out by her door in the hallway, I went into the class, put the letter on her podium. When class started, she went over to her podium, saw the letter, read it, then put it back on the podium. A few minutes later, she read the letter again, then asked "Who put this letter here?" Neither my friend or I said a word. Then she asked "I need to know who wrote this letter". We still didn't say anything.

Then she says "OK, I'm going to go down the rows and ask, who wrote this." I starting getting a bad feeling in my stomach. I was in the 1st row(wouldn't you know it!!). When she got to me, I finally fessed up. I didn't want the whole class to get in trouble and I figure if I told the truth early on, my punishment wouldn't be as bad.

It all turned out OK in the end. I told her it was just an April Fool's joke. She wasn't mad, she was just concerned that I forged the principal's signature.

We didn't get in trouble but my friend & I decided that we were never going to do that again!!
