The guy just celebrated 35 years with the same station and now is about to be canned. Found this out from some pals on the inside. Also, according to an attourney close to the situation, WNBC News may dissolve completely.
Wow!
They canned Len Berman too (I saw that in the paper today) so that just left Chuck and Sue Simmons.
Sue is the last anchorman standing!

It's an absolute disgrace, but that is the state of the broadcasting business right now.

That sounds ODD. The #1 anchor in this city has been here 32 years and I can never see that happening to him. Damm, 35 years and you get canned??

That's the thing Solomon, NBC right now is in serious trouble all around. The most profitable branch of NBC Universal is MSNBC. Other than that, everything is collapsing. They (NBC) are trying to cut costs everywhere. They just fired their long time sports anchor Len Berman who has been here for about 24 years.
