I often go to bed quite late and I usually grow hungry late into the night so a lot of the time end up fixing myself something to eat before I go to bed. Does anyone else find themselves getting hungry really late? I mean, after midnight and beyond? There are quite a few occasions when I've cooked myself something after one a.m.

If so, what are your favourite night-time snacks? I don't always just snack, sometimes I have something quite substantial. I often boil some sweetcorn and melt margarine over it. Or I'll have some toast. One time I had sweetcorn and also red cabbage with cheese melted over it.

Yes, I get hungry at night all the time, and I hate it!!! It's one of the things that sucks about being a night owl.

Why do you hate it? I quite enjoy eating late at night.

I stay up pretty late, too, but I try not to eat too much late at night, especially nothing too heavy.

Alot of times I just make myself a glass of chocolate milk. I got this thing about putting choc.syrup in milk rather than just buying a container of choc milk. That usually fills me up plus it curbs my sweet tooth.

Then sometimes, I'll have a bowl of ice cream. But that's it.

Sweetcorn with melted margarine sounds soooo good though!!

Because I tend to gain weight when I eat at nightime since I can't get the sufficient exercise needed to burn off the fat. I would go for a walk, but walking at 2:00 am in my neighborhood is an eventual death sentance. So for me it's all about health, and weight gain.

Maybe you could just eat something light? You seem quite health-conscious so I would imagine you try to anyway. It would put on less weight.

Carrot sticks and broccoli for your next midnight snack! :)

There are times when I get hungry if I am up late at night. Sometimes if I am out I will go through a drive thu thats open. If I got snacks they will get eaten.

Yes. Sometimes I do get very hungry in the middle of the night, but I don't know what to eat to satisfy it that won't just sit in my stomach until I get up in the morning, so I usually ignore it. BIG MISTAKE! I'll wake up in the morning with a nasty headache all over my head and nausea feeling like I hadn't eaten all day.

Rarely. When it does happen, it's usually when I'm sick, maybe associated with the fact that I can't sleep, and crave carbs, hence the Ramen Noodles, toast, or something like that.

Often. I usually eat something sizable around 9-10pm and then just try to eat something small after Midnight. Works out a lot better.

Yeah, I guess it depends how hungry you are. If you're really hungry, maybe have a sandwich. But there are probably lots of things you could eat that wouldn't put on too many extra calories if you're really worried about that. Maybe just some toast, or maybe some vegetables, or an apple, or something.
