Osbournes Show Banned In Florida
31 March 2009 12:06 PM, PDT

The Osbournes' new variety show has been banned by a Florida community, after local network bosses ruled it was too lewd for viewers.

Seven years after they launched the reality TV craze, the foul-mouthed rock clan are back with a new variety show, Osbournes: Reloaded - which will premiere on Tuesday night across the U.S., except for Panama City, Florida.

Bosses at Fox network affiliate Wpgx are refusing to screen the programme and will replace it with episodes of The Simpsons instead.

Wpgx general manager David Cavileer tells local reporters, "I just felt it was not keeping with community standards. This show in my market does not serve my public in Panama City. I did not feel it was appropriate."

Seems a little hypocritical considering all the lewd behavior that happens in Panama City during spring break each year!

Fox would have been better off bringing Fringe back tonight. I don't think they even have confidence in the show. It was supposed to be on for an hour and now it's down to 35 minutes.
