View Full Version : The Art of Flirting
Janice 03-31-2009, 03:54 AM This is the thread to discuss flirting. Are you a flirt? Is there a flirt at your work who drives everyone crazy, like Dan on Night Court, lol? Do you flirt online? Does someone flirt with you? I worked with my husband for a year before we got together. He was in the process of ending his marriage, while I was involved with another guy. Boy, did we flirt, lol. I pulled out all the stops, with the perfumes, the sexy (but appropriate) clothes, on and on. I snagged him. ;)
Brad Russ 03-31-2009, 09:24 AM I'm not a huge flirt, because I'm too shy, but I have been known to flirt quite a bit online. Particulary when I use to be involved with a couple dating websites. I'd really pour it on there. In real life, I can be a flirt at times. In my last ditch effort to get with Donna, I started helping her more with things, and just made my face the first thing she saw all the time. She once told me that she was extremely attracted to hairy chests, and so of course I started unbuttoning a few buttons on my shirt to expose the hair on my chest. Apparantely it worked, as a few weeks later we ended up together, and she even admitted that seeing the hair on my chest was a big factor. So I guess you can say that when I really want to be with someone, I'm a HUGE flirt, problem is, I don't fall in love too easily, so I just don't have the desire to flirt most of the time. Flirting can be alot of fun though for sure. I sometimes look at it as a challenge to get the one I want. ;)
Number 9 Dream 03-31-2009, 09:12 PM I was never a big flirt up until a year or two ago. I don't know what it is, but I seem to be more comfortable chatting with people. I tend to flirt with the wrong guys, though :( Not good.
But, yeah, it's a lot of fun...the sexy clothes, perfume, the smiles, and teasing. I love it! ;)
Brad Russ 03-31-2009, 09:26 PM I think Donna flirted with me at times as well, even though she probably wouldn't admit it. I remember one time before we were together, we were watching a movie, and out of the blue, she took off her bra, and threw it on the floor. She had her shirt on, but took her bra off underneath. I was staying the night that night sleeping on her couch, and she left her bra there when she went downstairs to sleep. lol!! When I relayed that story to her, she said she didn't even think about it, but somehow you know when someone isn't telling the truth, and I could tell she did it on purpose. It was just me, and the woman I was hopelessely in love with's bra that night, and it was a huge turn on. Sorry if that sounds explicit, I'm just being honest. ;)
Janice 03-31-2009, 10:04 PM Brad, I can imagine you being a flirt. You've got that sexy voice, the clever one-liners, the caring ways. Yeah, you've got it going on.
LuLu Rogers 03-31-2009, 10:49 PM I've been single for 22 years, you tell me!

I feel ya  I'm not much of a flirt, unless I really like the guy and he's flirty first. Although it's not really flirting flirting, I do always make sure I dress cute haha. I never wear sweats in public...but I do that for myself, not anyone else. Makes me feel better. Other than that, I fear intimacy and flirting often involves that to a degree, so my lame ass refrains.

Ha ha ha, yeah, I guess I'm more of a flirt than I thought, when I really think about it. Most of the time I don't even realize I'm flirting when I am. Who am I kidding, I guess I'm just a big O'l flirt afterall. ;)
Btw, thanks for the sexy voice comment!! I love when people say that. :D And by the way, you've got it going on too!!

When I let a guy in, he rips my heart out. Therefore, I've become a brick wall.

Just hang in there Lauren. I know you probably hate to hear that, just as I hated it when people would say it to me, but you'll find the right guy soon. Like I told you before, I didn't have my first date until age 24. Some of us are just late bloomers. But I know there's definitely someone out there waiting for you!!! :)
Hollow 03-31-2009, 11:52 PM i've just done it with a boyfriend/ex and only when he initiated it. never been fond of the risk of rejection.

Same. That's the problem...guys are often huge flirts when they don't mean anything by it, and girls are left wondering what the hell? Been there way too many times.
Big C 04-01-2009, 01:30 AM My philosophy when I'm around a hot girl is simple- compliment, compliment, complinent.

You got that right. Can't go wrong there. :)
Theda Bara 04-01-2009, 03:55 AM I am a HUGE flirt; hell, I am even flirt with old men, women, etc. It is not because I am attracted to these individuals per se; it is just a part of my personality.:)

You've got FLIRT written all over you. My cousin Penny is that way. She flirts with everyone, old people, the UPS or cable guy (or girl), her kid's teachers, anyone. It's in a non-sexual way (SOMETIMES, lol). But yeah Tara, I know your type. You sexy thing. Where you from, you sexy thing. Okay, now I've got that song in my head.
If I think of the picture with you and those hot boots, I'll get the song, These Boots Are Made For Walkin', in my head. Who sang that, Nancy Sinatra? She was a cutie in her day. Your day is now. If you got it, flaunt it, and you got it. ;)

 I am flattered, thank you:)
littlebelle 04-01-2009, 05:15 PM Honestly, I'm not. I always feel like that's the guys job for some reason. I kind of sit back and let other people do all the flirting, lol. I sometimes am worried that I'll sound silly or maybe the guy isn't even interested in me at all and will think I'm some creep.
Darren J. 04-01-2009, 06:52 PM I'm not a flirt. It's not who I am.
