A lot of you might recognize my pen name because I do quite a bit of posting all over this site. However, this is my very first time posting on this page! I remember in the second-to-last season, there was an episode about an ex-monk getting married. The problem is that I came in in the middle of it. I tried to catch it on a rerun but have had no luck! The thing that I am wondering about is how the Fonz knew this man. If my memory is correct, the guy asked the Fonz to be his best man. I also remember the members of a street gang also being at the ceremony. Does anyone know if the situation is that the guy had been a member of the Fonz's gang before joining the monostery?

The first thing that I would like to do is thank you for taking such a big load off of my mind! Unlike shows like "Frasier" and "Friends", it seems to be taking a month of Sundays for this sereis to make it to DVD. I happen to own the DVDs of a lot of sereis, but I do not have any of "Happy Days". However, if the season that this episode was in ever gets released, I will probably buy it for the main purpose of being reaquainted with this episode! In the meantime, there is one more thing that you guys might be able to help me out with. Did the episode ever make clear the circumstances in which the man met the lady that he felt was worth leaving the monastery for?

I am bringing this thread to the top of the page in hopes that more people will share their memories of this episode! Even though I only managed to see half of the episode, there is something that I remember very clearly about the night that it was on. It was the second week that this series had to compete with the then new show called the "A-Team"! This was a one-hour show that was opposite "Happy Days" and "Laverne and Shirley". It had no problemy blowing "Laverne and Shirley" out of the water in about a month! That sereis left quietly with no farewell episode. "Happy Days" however, was able to hang on for a little while longer. The series finale was about a year-and-a-quarter after the emergence of the "A-Team". For quite some time after that, the "A-Team" continued to slaughter whatever was on in that time slow on both ABC (this show's network) and CBS. Go figure!

i think Happy Days - even the later episodes - holds up much better after all these years than the A-Team, which is just a ridiculous unwatchable show now.
