Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the always-bowling-for-a-strike host tried a new stunt: an online petition for a Saved By The Bell 20-year cast reunion on his show. He brought out a clammily enthusiastic Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins), and together they implored Tifanni Thiesson, Dustin Diamond, and the rest of the cast of that beloved sitcom to get back together.

I was about to post this. It seems like other media outlets have picked up the story. Many people want this to happen, and IMO, there's a good chance that it could.

I sure hope that it does happen. I think the only two that may hold out are Theissen and Gosselear, but I could be wrong.

I agree. Those are the ones I could definitely see coming back, and potentially Lark as well. I think they might have a bit of trouble convincing the other three, but I hope it can be done.

I remember that MWC episode. Nikki also appeared in the first season of Beverly Hills 90210 in one episode.

It would be cool if it happened but back before 2003 I was always hoping a ten year reunion movie would be made.

For those who do not know, Lark (Lisa) told the people at Late Night she was in. They have not heard back from any others as of right now.

I hope they here from the rest of the cast.

So, on last night's "Late Night", he stated that on Thursday he saw the "Save The Max" episode, and decided to do the same thing to try and get another castmember. Then, same as the episode, they panned away and came back to all the staff at the phones passed out, and then Mario Lopez came in and gave the same exact speech he gave on the episode. Hell, he even called Jimmy "Preppy". Then, he put his face on the Saved By The Bell board.

So, it's three down, four more to go. I think now that they have Mario on board, the rest will hopefully fall in to place.

^ I always had a feeling Mario would be part of this. It will be interesting to see if the other kids ome back. Plus, what kind of SBTB reunion would be complete without Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding)? :cool:

just don't watch the new class episodes lol they remade the show years later with a brand new cast except for belding & screech and it was ABSOLUTELY horrible haha.

Neil Patrick Harris is apparently good friends with Max and he said (on the same show) that he would ask Max about it, but I believe as of right now he is doing magic with the "Brittney Spears Circus Tour".

So, who knows. Hopefully he's there.

This is great news! I've loved Saved by the Bell for years. I have the DVDs too.

I just caught the interview with Fallon on Youtube a few minutes ago. That was probably the best segment on a late night show I have ever seen. Hilarious. I am speechless - I find it great that, unlike other child stars, he seems to have enjoyed the role he played and the role the show played in his life. It was perfectly done. I thought Fallon should've been the one getting interviewed as Gosselaar was just unbelievable.Also, it was surprising that the audience was laughing at all the jokes. I find it hard to believe that the majority would have understood all of the inside jokes that only hardcore watchers of the show would know but anyways.

Really hope the reunion happens but I just don't think that Dustin Diamond will ever do it. They probably don't want to see him (never really liked him in the first place, he's made a fool of himself time and time again and even he would feel awkward doing it probably). I don't see why Tiffani Thiessen wouldn't want in - maybe some behind the scenes controversy haha

No, Tori never appeared in any episode with Kelly/Jessie. In fact, they never even mentioned one another during those episodes. So when it was a Tori episode Kelly and Jessie just didn't exist and in the Kelly/Jessie episodes, Tori didn't exist. A reason I dislike Peter Engel. Saved by the Bell was a good show, but Engel treated his viewers like they were morons.

My idea for the reunion. If they could get everyone, Tiffani and Elizabeth would tell the audience that they'll "be right back." They'd walk off the stage. As soon as they leave, Leanna Creel would come onto the stage. She'd be there for a moment, then walk off the stage. Tiffani and Elizabeth would then come back on stage. Making the joke that they never appeared on the show together.

Then of course, they could be themselves as well, but I would love to see them revert back to their characters! I do wonder if Dustin is bitter that the other cast members were able to move past SBTB when it came to roles and career. Lark pretty much doesn't do much acting because of her religious beliefs but I think she is probably happy with her current life. Elizabeth's career did hurt after Showgirls but she still does stuff and I think she is a great actress who needs to be on TV more. Tiffani, Mark Paul and Mario have done other stuff. The only one who has had major financial troubles has been Dustin. I think Dustin is just an unhappy person.

I agree it bugged me that Peter Engel treated viewers like morons and thought nobody would Kelly and Jessie's disappearances and Tori's sudden appearance at Bayside. The other NBC Saturday morning teen shows used to treat viewers like morons. On Hang Time the audience was expected to believe that a school with about 1,000 students in the 1990's wouldn't have a girls' basketball team. On City Guys they spent like six years in high school.
