Ever notice how a favorite brand of yours is no longer made by the company you used to associate it with?

Such as Crisco and Jif--once owned by Procter & Gamble, now by The J.M. Smucker Company

White Rain products--once made by Clairol, then The White Rain Company, then Diamond Products, now Huish Detergents (the people behind Sun Laundry)

Breck Shampoo--once its own company, then revived in the late 90s by another company, it is now an exclusive brand for Dollar Tree stores.

I'm sure there are plenty of other examples...

I thought Gillette made-through its Toni unit-White Rain.

Well White Rain may have started as a Gillette product, but it is currently made by Huish Detergents out of Salt Lake City.

I learn a lot by looking on who manufactures a product on the label. Such as Dutch Maid cleanser, a trademark owned by Dial Corp, but licensed to another company here in America.

Scotties tissue is made in the US by Irving Tissue, even the trademark belongs to Kimberly-Clark (who bought the Scott Paper Company several years ago and owns the more popular Kleenex brand).
