Ever encounter this on your computer? Happened to me earlier this evening and boy was I ever pissed. Had to reinstall Windows XP and wipe out everything I had on the computer. So after a couple of hours of trying to get back online (thank God for the Dell drivers file my g/f made a copy of for me a few years back), now I face the daunting task of downloading stuff all over again--oh the joy! This is why I don't believe in using your hard drive as a main storage device. Will be using more CDs and possibly get an external USB drive for further protection.
