The CW is in talks with the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to broadcast this year's Daytime Emmy Awards.
The awards show, whose ratings have been declining, was left without a TV home after longtime host CBS declined to renew its contract for the show when it expired after last year's ceremony.
The older-skewing Daytime Emmys are a somewhat awkward fit for youth-oriented CW. The CBS sibling net has an awards franchise, the Family Entertainment Awards, which air in December.
