I was reading about the Marilu Geri case and I remembered another case on UM about some girl that was buried I believe and then there was a discrempancy about the headstone being someone else's. Can someone help me on this?

Hmm well Marlis Thomas was told her baby died at birth but she thinks it was a lie. Her daughter was supposedly buried but there's reason to believe it wasn't her baby buried there but another child who died after birth. Not sure if thats what you could be thinking of. Also the Clarence Roberts case. Many people think it isn't him buried in the grave with his name on it.

Clarence Roberts. Clarence Thomas is currently wielding an iron fist on the Supreme Court. :p

And my remark is purely in jest.

That first one is the one I'm thinking of. Thanks, Heather. So did they exhume the grave for that lady and find out the truth yet?

Its been a while since I've seen that one but I don't believe she was ever able to get permission to exhume the body to test it.

The body of the infant was exhumed and was found to belong to neither Marlis Thomas nor Pamela Rae Dickey's mother, so no one knows who the child belonged to.

Pulled this from an old thread that Kamy posted: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-62613451.html

So Marlis Thomas never learned if her own child lived or died?

Damn, what a heartbreaker.

Here's some info. Three months after her baby was born, Marlys received an anonymous photo of a family with a baby girl as if someone was trying to tell her that her child was alive and was being cared for by a loving family.
