Paula Kelly is the actress who played Liz Williams in season 1. Has anyone else noticed that when she did other shows after Night Court, her characters were short lived on those shows also. I think she does better in movies. When she was on that one episode of The Golden Girls called "the housekeeper", she said the reason she wasnt doing a good job cleaning because she was studying to become a lawyer. Isnt that ironic since she played a lawyer on Night Court?

I never knew Paula was in other show's I just knew her on Night Court.

I wonder why Paula Kelly was only on Night Court for the first season? One theory that I've heard is that when Karen Austin (Lana), who was the original courtroom clerk, abruptly left the show just prior to the end of the season (supposedly for health reasons), the producers weren't entirely comfortable w/ potentially having Paula Kelly (Liz) fill the female lead role. I guess this had to do w/ the fear that Liz could potentially serve as a (interracial) love interest for either Harry or Dan.
