Those of you who have read my second to last post on this page which is called the "Golden Girls" know that it is about the inconsistencies in the sereis. Well, this still seems to be a hot topic over on that show's page! One thing that I pointed out over there is the fact that one show that is really full of inconsistancies is the "Flintstones"! Well, believe it or not, someone on that page actually responded to my "Flintstone" comment! I have since responded to that response and it is presently on the top of that show's page. After I post this, I might even go back to that page and tell my friends there about my post here. In any event, one thing that I would still be very interested in reading is people's points of view about the differences between schools of thought expressed in "Julie's First Love" and that of "Samantha's Protest"!

The first thing that I would like to do is thank you for your support in this matter! If you or anyone else have been following the boards closely, you know about the guy from Hawaii getting suspended for posting messages that were vulger and insulting. I can see now that he is being very careful not to let history repeat itself! Even though he is still being sarcastic, he is laying off the profanities. Let us see how much he gets away with! In any event, I would now like to return to the topic of the show reverting back from a more modern to a more traditional point of view. In "Samantha's Protest" although it was not made clear that Katie was uncomfortable asking a boy out, it was stongly implied. However, two years earlier, she tried her hardest to sell Julie on the notion that it was appropriate to do just that! It makes me wonder what happened in the course of two years!

One more crack at Smartboy or towards anybody for that matter, and you're history. Of your 40+ posts, 30 of them are ragging on Smartboy. I told you, find another hobby. You bring NOTHING to this site but BS. You're the one who's unpopular. It will be no loss when you're banned for good.

I second that
I for one am glad that
Smartboy is keeping the board active.
Keeps up interest in the show.
If the studios think there is no interest...
Then no more DVDs.

It is too bad that there is not some special award that could be given to every respondee of this thread except one! Your decency and understanding really fills me up!

Don't worry one bit about that bully - he's the one who isn't popular here! Never has anything worthwhile to say and just wants to come here to poke fun at you.

We all happen to like you Smartboy and enjoy your posts and observations so feel free to post and say whatever you want here. If anything, I'd like to see you get more involved with the chitchat forum and you could tell us more about yourself!

There actually is an award - it's being able to continue to enjoy posters like you and the other nice people. Every community has to have one bad apple and we all know who that one is. ;)

So far in this sitting, I have brought three old threads to the top of this page. Although I have managed to generate some views, I have not gotten any responses. Maybe it will be different this time around!

In the recent post, I have raised to the top of the page two threads regarding the episode known as "Samantha's Protest". The main thing that I am interested in feedback regarding is the poetic justice that was expressed in that episode. I thought it was great! However, other people do not seem to be too interested in discussing it! Because this thread also deals with that episode, I decided to see what happens if I bring this one to the top.

I am bringing this thread to the top of the page because of how popular a cartoon the "Flintstones" was (and still is to some degree). I am sure that a lot of you Generation Xers grew up with the reruns! Some of the people who frequent this board may even be old enough to have watched the show on prime-time! In any event, it is one more chance to give newcomers to this site a chance to read what us great minds were thinking about once upon a time!

There seems to be some renewed interest in terms of continuity errors in regards to the girls' ages. Some posters have also mentioned other things about the show that were inconsistent with each other. Well, the original purpose of this thread was to point out the inconsistency of points of view expressed in the two episodes "Julie's First Love" and "Samantha's Protest". I would still be very interested in peoples' points of view about this issue! In any case, at the end of my responses to the last post, I said that because this one relates to the same topic, I would bring it to the top next. Now you are my witnesses that I am keeping my word!

Less than two days ago, I started two new threads which got responses. I was amazed! Because there seemed to be some traffic going through this page, I tried to stimulate some more conversation by bringing some of my old favorites to the top. So far, I have brough up seven and none of them have generated any responses! Maybe it will be different this time around!
