Just a heads up - Bill Daily is no longer doing the radio show that he did in Albuquerque. So if you've been sitting at your computer on Thursday mornings, tuned to a specific website's streaming feature, waiting....you can do something else.

That's too bad - did you ever find out why, Donna?

Not really. The only response I got from the DJ's went something like, it was someone else's decision. Now that could mean a lot of things - the station's, the conglomerate's (the station is owned by Clear Channel), or Bill's own decision. If any further information comes my way, I'll let you know.

Bill (no e in Daily, only in Healey) was a guest on the morning show once a week for an hour. The DJ's would talk to him, ask him questions, get him to tell funny stories and jokes, have him do movie reviews of the new movies out - all in the space of a one-hour show that still had to play songs and do newscasts. They also had a call-in game, their version of The Match Game.

Notes from the shows since about June 2006 are on our website, if you'd like to get an idea of what they'd talked about. Bill told several IDOJ and TBNS set stories over the years. One of my favorites was "the chocolate boot" story:

You know the episode in the first season, "Guess What Happened on the Way to the Moon?", the episode where the guys were on a survival mission in the desert? Well, in that one, Roger Healey had to eat his boot. Bill told us, the boot was made of chocolate, and the prop man said, "I'm going to See's, do you like milk chocolate or dark chocolate?"

That boot was milk chocolate -
