I believe Marvin Maple's first hearing in Tennessee is on March 17, which is Tuesday this week.
I'm not familiar with the legal process, so what would we expect to see happen? Testimony from people involved? Will they determine if his case goes to the jury?
I'm also curious if Christi (Jennifer) and Bobby (Johnathan) will make public statements at this time.

Gosh I hope they do! Everyone on here is dying to hear why they won't see their parents.

I hope they really take their time and find the best resolution for this case. I think the Baskins probably don't even care about Maple's jail time - they want the time with their children more.

Oh brother. 73 year old kidnapping grandpa is under house arrest. Whoopdie fricken doo, on that btw, and his defense attorney had the hearing postponed until May 12 because he needs more time "to do an investigation"?
WTH does a defense atty need to investigate? I guess that sounds better than "I need more time to prepare a believable defense for this guilty old geezer."
I betcha they just keep getting contiuances and delay this thing until old grandpa dies, and the public will never find out what really happened.

--- That would not surprise me in the least.

If Christ and Bobbi Baskin, the putative "victims" of this kidnapping, don't think of Marvin Maples as a kidnapper, do think of him as their father, and resent the insistence of outsiders that they should accept their birth parents as their parents without question, it's going to be hard to prosecute Marvin Maples, the way it's hard to prosecute any criminal when the victim doesn't want to see a prosecution. I'm not sure a trial is in the best interest of everyone involved here.

Continuances happen all the time, its fairly common
