BREAKING NEWS!!!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!! Yes they are the same public domain episodes so far, mainly episodes that are on Mill Creek's "Essential Collection" BUT......."THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE AND HARRIET REVISITED" starts TONIGHT, SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2009 on NJN PUBLIC TELEVISION, over the air Channels 23 & 50 at 7:30PM!!!! This is what they call NJN1, not NJN2, I checked their website and episodes are scheduled through April at this point! Runtimes appear to be edited on the website at 22 minutes in length, but it is very exciting that for the first time in nearly 35 years, O&H will be appearing on broadcast TV in the NY/Metro area on a weekly basis!!!!!!

UPDATE: I did some research today and it seems this is an official 13 episode series which has and will be available nationally since Dec. 2008 through Dec. 2009 to PBS stations across the nation. The distributor is listed as "The Ozzie & Harriet Trust"...I saw all 13 episodes titles and all just part of an average starter collection, in fact most are on the Shout sets, even though "David's 17th Birthday" did contain Rick singing "Glory Train" which is not on the Shout set probably due to music license fees. Each episode does end with a plug to buy the shout sets with a phone number. Not really honest considering as I said some of the music is not on the Shout set, so someone buying it in hopes of getting Rick's "Glory Train" performance would be quite disappointed to see it edited out.

Doesn't it just give you the greatest thrill to actually ''see'' O&H on your very own TV screen?

Last September it appeared out of nowhere on my Dish on a channel called EDU-TV, somewhere out of FL, I think. It was on for a whole MONTH !!!! Then, the station disappeared, changed formats, or something. Yep, the same old PD episodes, but I got some upgrades and they were full-length, so it was fun while it lasted.

Now, it kills me to know that Patty Duke and Bachelor Father are airing daily just about 30 miles from me, but I don't have an antenna, so cannot get them.

Thank goodness for my awesome trade friends across the country who are willing to share the wealth.

I'm jealous!:) I do get 33 episodes on ION, but the same shows have been on for about 5 years now. I wish thye would get a new set of shows.
