View Full Version : Just watched most hillarious episode
koz1962 03-13-2009, 11:09 PM I have to vote for this one as a top-10...
This episode is the one where Samantha starts sculpting. Endorra then takes her talent up a notch by perfectly sculpting Darren and Larry busts in stone. Of course, Larry brings over a client and the stone busts begin to talk:eek3: ....i could watch that episode over and over....
catlover79 03-13-2009, 11:14 PM Oh gosh, those busts creeped me out...especially when they started talking!!
koz1962 03-13-2009, 11:47 PM Larry Tate's Bust: "Heavy Mayo" !!!
catlover79 03-14-2009, 01:03 AM ^
MickeyMac 03-14-2009, 01:06 PM I liked it, its funny, but I think there are episodes that are more funny.
catlover79 03-14-2009, 01:09 PM ^ To each his own. It was never one of my favorites, either.
dav4463 05-16-2009, 05:14 AM Oh gosh, those busts creeped me out...especially when they started talking!!
I thought me and my sister were the only ones that were creeped out by this episode as kids!
Adamantium 05-16-2009, 05:24 AM I don't recall seeing this one. Which season is it from?
Also, one of the funniest episodes I've seen was today. From season two, the episode where Endora makes Darrin feel the pains of being pregnant. He was hilarious when he was at the meeting, demanding the guy's pickle, lol.
OH Nuts! 05-16-2009, 08:42 AM I have to vote for this one as a top-10...

Q: Is this from the first 5 seasons. If it is, I'll have to take a look. It does sound hilarious. But then....50% of the eps were very funny with another 40-45% being funny. And... what I really like about this show is that I can't think of an ep offhand in the first 5 seasons that was less than good. (I don't have any seasons with Dick Sargeant because to me Dick York was the BETTER (as in far better) Darren. IMO, The Aunt Clara yrs were the best of all. I miss that sweet old witch.
OH Nuts! 05-16-2009, 08:46 AM And another thing that I like (love!) abt the show that, at least for me, IT'S HARD to pick the funniest/best ep - there are so many contenders. Although, the one where Darren's ears grow bigger everytime he tells a lie does jump to mind.

That beekeeper's hat gets me every time!! The busts of Darrin's and Larry's heads is from Season 5, so Dick York was still playing Darrin. The episode is entitled "Samantha the Sculptress".
novarrofan 05-16-2009, 06:27 PM The episode was from season five and was titled "Samantha the Sculptress", and it's one of my favourites as well. A totally hilarious episode. Endora is priceless in this episode Quote "He wouldn't know a Rodan from a hot rock!" LOL ANOTHER episodewhere Dick York is brilliant and again Dick Sargent would never have been able to carry off the Darrin part here as effectively The talking heads are so well done. It was also the last of the really regular Dick York appearances in season five before he began missing lots of the episodes.

"I DEMAND YOUR PICKLE!!!"
UMfan77 07-17-2009, 02:51 PM I think the most hilarious episode is "Mirror, Mirror On the Wall" from season 5. Endora casts a spell on Darren making him smug, self-absorbed and obsessed with how good he looks. The part where he goes to a business meeting in a hippie outfit has me rolling on the floor. He looked so funny!! Oh, and how about those fake sideburns!!

He looked like an Elvis imitator!!

I know!! That is, hands down, the funniest episode ever! I have the season 5 dvd's, I have to re-watch it tonight!

Dick York may have out-Elvised Elvis.
catlover79 07-17-2009, 03:05 PM BTW, my vote for the most hilarious episode of the series is "Speak the Truth" from Season 2. I watched it with a bunch of friends once and we were all in stitches.

Yeah that one is hillarious. One of the best scenes is when Darrin can see his reflection on Sam's dress, and how happy he gets. By the way that dress Sam was wearing was hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
catlover79 10-12-2009, 12:33 AM Speaking of the bust episode, the bust of David White as Larry is now on display in his final resting place. Here's more info:

Yeah, "Speak the Truth" was funny!
But to me, the quintessential funny episode was "Double Double Toil and Trouble"! From start to finish non-stop
And of course the Big Ear episode.

Those are all hilarious episodes - I especially love it when Agnes Moorehead gets the pie smacked in her face. That moment still makes me !
