What if DVD companies announced that they were going to stop releasing TV shows on DVD! However, (and this part is pure fantasy) they say that they will release the remainding seasons of 10 shows that you own. What 10 shows would you choose from your collection that you’d have them release?

Also, current shows will continue to come out, it’s only past shows that, in this thread, are ending. So don’t waste any of your turns on a current show.

Also, again… if the final season of the show has already been announced, then it counts as having come out and you don’t have to list it (for example: Wings - The Final Season comes out in April. It’s been announced so I don’t have to mention it)

My list: (and this was HARD)

3. Taxi (seasons 4-5)
4. Boy Meets World (seasons 4-7)

6. The Donna Reed Show (seasons 2-8)
7. Blossom (seasons 2-5)
8. Perfect Strangers (seasons 3-8)
9. Charles In Charge (season 5) *4 is coming in a couple weeks!*
10. One Day at a Time (seasons 2-whatever the last season is)

This was tough. I wanted “Bewitched”, especially with only one season to go. While I would like the last season, I’d be content with just the first seven. Only if this was the situation. I also wanted “Night Court”, but it just didn’t make the cut. And “Saturday Night Live” is a tough call. It’s hard to refer to it as a current series, when the last DVD to come out is the 1978-79 season.

Okay, so what ten shows would you pick?

Remember this is only for shows that have one or more seasons already out on DVD.

Very cool thread. Here's my choices:

1. Murphy Brown (seasons 2-10). Of course, with only 1 season out and 9 to go, and with this being one of my favorite shows, this was a no brainer.

2. Mad About You (seasons 4-7). There were some great and memorable episodes from the last season, that I just couldn't live without having them on DVD. This show really gets mistreated, and it's the same way on DVD.

3. The Jeffersons (seasons 7-11). 5 more seasons are needed on DVD. While seasons 1-6 are good, this is one show I have to see completed.

4. Drew Carey Show (seasons 2-9). I have torrents of this show that I watch, but they're nowhere as good as DVD masters would be. 8 more seasons are needed on DVD. This is one of my favorite shows. This was another nobrainer.

5. Whose Line is it Anyway? (seasons 2-8). This is another show that has so many episodes of it yet to be released, and only 1 season (with another best-of release on the way) released. This show has managed to get me laughing like no other, so I'd need this on DVD.

6. Boy Meets World (seasons 4-7). This is a classic for me. I've been waiting to get season 4 back when BV announced it, then cancelled it, then when Lionsgate picked it up, but has made no announcement on it yet. All in all, I want this show completed on DVD!

7. A Different World (seasons 2-6). This has always been a favorite show of mine. Sure, episodes got a little out there and boring in later seasons, but this is still a good show that deserves to have more DVDs released.

8. Who's the Boss? (seasons 2-8). WTB has so many great episodes and moments in it season 2 on. It remains one of my favorites, and I'd need to have this completed on DVD.

9. Old Christine (season 3-4 at the moment). These last 2 slots were tough, because there are so many other shows I could have chosen. But in the end, I had to pick the shows I first would enjoy watching over and over, and second would actually watch and not just let collect dust. So, this is one of them - I have the first 2 seasons, and I watch them all the time. OC has great rewatchability for me, so I'd want to have any other remaining seasons to watch as well.

10. Maude (seasons 2-6). Like Old Christine, this was hard. but, I chose Maude because I haven't seen these episodes since I was a kid. I own season 1 on DVD, and those episodes remained fresh and funny for me.
