It seemed that, for quite some time, this page was very dead! I do not know if this was because of other things to do besides post messages or people feeling that they had bleed dry what they had to say or what. In any event, it is now really starting to pick up! Well, another page on this site that also seems to go in spurts is that of "Gimme a Break!" Is anyone reading this a fan of that sereis? According to my observations, the generation that "Friends" was popular with is the generation that would have been in their pre-teens or early teens when "Gimme a Break!" was on prime-time. I, for one, was crazy about that series! I had the biggest crush on the character of Julie! Well, there is one topic that I have tried very hard to stimulate some conversation about on both pages and have not had much success. This topic is the painting of nails. I remember a scene from one episode in which Monica and Pheobe where frantically shaking their hands to make the polish dry. In any event, the purpose of my multiple posts is to make the case that an activity that appears to be sexy and sophisticated in one situation can seem shallow and superficial in another. In this case, the activity is the application of nail polish. I really appreciated the female bonding between Monica and Pheobe and I thought they looked hot! On the other hand, on a third-season episode of "Gimme a Break!" there was a case in which Katie painted her nails. Under the circumstances, I thought that she seemed very insencitive and self-involved. My last post on the topic on that show's page is called "Katie's Mits/Julie's Teeth". However, I will posted a new thread there telling my bubbies about my post here! I will do this right after I bring to the top one more thread on this page! Take care.
