I remember how I felt when I had to put my sweet tom cat to sleep. I made that decision when his kidneys started to fail. He had alos had cancer for over a year, but because the vet said this particular cancer did not causing pain as one of the symptoms, I kept treating my cat for that. The fact that you made the decision that was best for your beloved dog--keeping her from prolonged suffering--shows how much you and your family cared for her. 80s_Fan 03-09-2009, 07:04 AM At about 2:00 this afternoon, my parents took our dog Mutt Moo to the vet and put her to sleep. She was having heart problems that were getting increasingly worse and we did not want it to reach a critical stage were we would be distressed even more by what we had to do. We buried her in a spot in the woods below our house at around 5:00 this afternoon. She will be missed, but we will always strive to remember the good times and not the bad times we had with her. Rest in peace, Mutt Moo.
