Calculate how many posts youve made each year youve been here, I just did that!

2001: 4
2002: 4675
2003:24197
2004:23624
2005:10625
2006:24047
2007:5454
2008:6291
2009 ( so far): 399 ( including this)


I have over 200 posts missing from my profile.

How does one do this?

Here's how I did it
1. Search page
2. Put your name in the username box
3. Select find posts by user
4. On the left side at the bottom select any posting date and ascending order
5. Select search all forums
6. Go through the pages, select the big numbers first
7. Find how many posts you made that year, if the next year begins on the same page count how many on the page goes to the last post in that year , there's 50 a page, but depending on the page, the next year could start in the middle or near the end, or the first post on the next page
8. However many more posts you got in your second year, to figure that out, subtract the total for the first year and second year
9. Once you're done with all the post counts from each year, ADD EM UP
10. There may be less ( or more, Allison) in the search results then it says here on the site, subtract the actual total, from the search result total yto see how many arent in the results.


Im sure there's a less time consuming way , but that's how I did it. If you need screencaps anyone I will post them

Keep in mind, I deleted a LOT of posts from 2003 and 2004. They're still really high, though. This is my 74,747th post.

2002: 0 (I lurked that year)
2003: 17,394 posts made that year
2004: 57,283 posts - 39,889 posts made that year
2005: 66,743 posts - 9,460 posts made that year
2006: 70,447 posts - 3,704 posts made that year
2007: 73,754 posts - 3,307 posts made that year
2008: 74,596 posts - 842 posts made that year
2009: 74,747 posts - 151 so far

'08 is because I finally got a real job in late '07. I'm currently hunting for a *real* job that's, ya know, FULL TIME (my current job isn't). So once I secure something like that, expect the same pattern as '08.

2006 - 31,627 (whoa...that was the smurftractor year at the random board, not surprising :) )
2007 - 5,712 (LOL at the drop-off)

2009 - 30 so far

2009 might be my least active year too, but I want it make it to 100,000! This is it, I shoulda been there by now LOL. Haha, I dunno. I definitely made over 40k posts in '04. I bet I made 20k posts in '03 too. I *really* had no life these two years. I remember some days I would try to make 500 posts in one day, and I accomplished that by being at the computer for 16+ hours. :crazy:
