I'm kind of surprised that New iorleans is on the list of "20 unhappiest cities." You'd think with Mardi gras, it be a happy city......

No wonder they're on the list. Must be incredibly depressing to think you've lived in one state all this time, only to find out that you actually live in a different state... man, I can't even relate to that! Must be terrible!

And they include Nashville, but not Philly? Oh, come on!

They are in Montana tho - just smaller towns and not the St. Louis and Kansas City you're thinking of.

What makes them so unhappy?

I love how it's always big cities they list. They never realize how miserable and boring some of the smaller cities are, lol.

I think that "studies" like this pretty much only focus on major metropolitan areas, so you're not going to see any small towns listed there.

I'm not surprised Memphis made the list, there is alot of crime in that city. But I was surprised Nashville made the list.

Boston didn't make the list?

Oh wait, now that our sports teams are doing well, we have reason to celebrate :happyface

The fact that Portland is number 1 doesn't surprise me at all!! We have one of the highest suicide rates (if not the highest) and the dreary winter and fall seasons tend to make people awfully depressed here. Some of the cities on the list surprised me though.

I'm not surprised Detroit's up there. Auto industry moving out, record unemployment... and to top it all off, the Lions have the worst record in NFL History!

Google Maps finds nothing but Montana St. in KC, KS.

Anyhow, the St. Louis and the KC in this list are the Missouri towns. MO is Missouri, not Montana.

TOO DAMN COLD.
It's colder than that here. They're just wussies in the Twin Cities.
