View Full Version : Knight Rider is Cancelled
Brian Damage 03-05-2009, 10:54 PM Knight Rider will not be returning for another spin in the fall, sources tell TVGuide.com. The reboot of 1980s series drew just 5.76 million viewers with its Wednesday-night finale, a 21 percent drop-off from its September premiere. And this despite some retooling along the way.
An NBC rep had no comment on KITT's rumored garaging.

Pavan 03-06-2009, 09:32 PM Not shocking at all. It was dead months ago. catlover was being sarcastic, Aaron. The original series towered over this.
Scoobiedoo30 03-06-2009, 09:40 PM what do you mean by towered This one.
JamesG 03-07-2009, 12:06 AM what do you mean by towered This one.
Means it was way better.
Towered = new show is small in comparison to the original

A Billy Mays informercial was more entertaining than the new Knight Rider - and it's scary how little that's saying.

I only watched the pilot that aired a while before the series started. Didn't interest me at all so I never bothered with the rest.
Looks like Val Kilmer is out of another job.

I couldn't even sit through a whole episode. My mom and dad had it on, and even they were bored with it. Besides, William Daniels will ALWAYS be KITT...the same way John Forsythe will ALWAYS be Charlie Townsend. :D

I heard that the star of this, Justin and his wife, had steady gigs on All My Children and left the show to "move on to other things".
Not a very wise decision.
Mrdata 03-07-2009, 07:53 AM I was pissed that they made Kitt a Ford!
And therefore would not watch it, why do they have to change the star of the show which was a car, Hasselhoff was just along for the ride IMHO.
Kitt was and always will be in my mind a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am.
Charles
I am shocked the show lasted as long as it did. The major retooling of the series didn't help, yet the show continued!
Ford must have been paying to keep the show on the air.
;)
MikeLutton 03-11-2009, 02:17 AM i dont believe it though i stil hope it not true til nbc makes annoumcent be fool cancel it now it started doing good
James28 03-11-2009, 03:17 AM It kinda smells that NBC-TV canceled Knight Rider. I expected it to be far better than and run as long as the original 1982 series. If only NBC had renewed the original Knight Rider for a fifth season in 1986.
