View Full Version : Daily routines you always do?
Brad Russ 03-05-2009, 05:07 PM Aside from the obvious such as working, and going to school, how many of you have daily routines that you always do, and what are they? I have quite a few, and one of them is praying. I tend to pray all throughout the day, no matter where I am. Another thing I have picked up as a daily routine is reading. I just got a bunch of books from my favorite author, Joyce Meyer, and I can't seem to put them down. Another thing I never neglect doing, is going for atleast one walk per day. I find that taking a nice long walk each morning makes me feel great physically, and is a good way to make me feel good mentally as well. I have other daily routines, but those are some of my main ones. What are some of yours??
Brieannas21 03-05-2009, 07:38 PM I go running every morning at 5 no matter what, Other than eating breakfast and taking my girls to school and going to work I don't really have a routine.
dakert 03-05-2009, 11:05 PM I like to soak my feet while watching a half hour sit-com
Doodyville10019 03-05-2009, 11:18 PM I don't usually eat breakfast until about 9 or 9:30 when I get to work (depending if I have to go to court to cover a status call). I also won't eat dinner until about 9 or 9:30 p.m. before bedtime. I'm rarely hungry when I first get up in the morning anyway.
The reason for these habits is that I'm on prescription meds I have to take every 12 hours, twice a day, with meals. I hate eating just before bedtime - I've gained some weight because of it, but my doctor put me on a strict schedule with these meds, so I have to follow it.
treky 03-06-2009, 03:33 AM wake up, shower, shave, (sometimes) eat breakfast, watch TV

Hollow 03-06-2009, 12:12 PM on weekdays i have an alarm set a half an hour before i need to get up so i have time to lay around and motivate myself. if i have time after classes, i spend at least a half hour doing vocal exercises to keep my singing voice fresh. i also write in my livejournal every day, usually before going to bed. my new years resolution this year is to update at least once every day.

Janice 03-08-2009, 06:02 AM Before bedtime, I have a little routine. I don't know who's going to get up first, me or my husband. I set the coffee maker up, so just a touch of the button is all that's set in the morning. I put out a clean cat food dish with a can of cat food. I put out my husband's breakfast, in a way. I'll take a bagel or English muffin out of the freezer and put it in a baggie. I'll have a dish, folded napkin and a juice glass out. If I know he's getting up ahead of me for an early appointment, I sometimes make breakfast. I'll make a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an untoasted bagel. I'll cook bacon or ham and eggs. All he has to do is zap it.
We have a nightly routine with our two kitties, Lily and Caesar. At about 7pm, I'll say, "Who wannnntsss....", and my husband and I say together in high voices, "TREATS!" The furbabies are so cute, they take their places on their tower perches. Lily, the little lady, stands so straight, with her two paws so neatly together in front of her. Caesar, he's a loveable nitwit. Some nights, I have to pick him up and put him on his perch. They love their TREATS!.

phoebe7165 03-08-2009, 11:05 AM When I'm not working - Wake up, take dogs out, feed dogs(it's all about the dogs!! ), put corn out for the 5 squirrels we have running around the backyard, put away dried dishes that are in the drain(I absolutely do not towel dry dishes), do a load of laundry, make myself a glass of chocolate milk(I like the white milk mixed with choc syrup), get on computer.
Seriously, this is what I do every single morning I'm home.
PunkyP0WER 03-08-2009, 02:55 PM I have a weekend routine - I spend the weekend trying to do absolutely nothing and making the time go by as slowly as humanly possible. I usually cruise ebay all weekend looking for studio stills or watching msnbc doc blocks.
